Choosing the Mount for Your 9DDS
The 9DDS carries five mount options plus Drive Only. Pick by the pin size on your excavator's dipper, then by whether you want the drive to hang free or be held at an angle:

A single pin lets the drive hang and find vertical on its own, which is what you want for plumb holes. Two pins fix it to the dipper so the boom controls the angle, which is what you want for angled holes and slopes. Pin diameter is confirmed against your machine make and model before the package ships.
Which Linkage Do You Need?
Digga sets linkage size by the drive, not the machine: the 100mm linkage (HI-004242K) is the one the 9DDS takes. Choose No Linkage - I already have one if the boom already has one, or Include 100mm Linkage - required if you do not have one to have it supplied. The 75mm and 130mm sizes belong to smaller drives and the SD range; all three are listed under Auger Drive Mount Linkages.
Cradle Hitch and HALO Alignment Kit
- No Options — drive and mount as selected.
- Cradle Hitch — the drive is carried in a cradle rather than swinging on the pin, steadying it while collaring and while tracking between holes.
- HALO Alignment Kit — the 9DDS supplied with HALO built into the hood at the factory, reading plumb to ±0.25 degrees per Digga. Not a bolt-on; the retrofit version is a separate HALO Retrofit Kit.

Drilling or anchoring? The 5 year gearbox and 3 year motor warranty covers drilling. Used for screw anchoring without Digga's Energy Control Valve, cover drops to 2 years and 1 year, and only up to 12,000 ft-lbs. The ECV is specified with the drive, not added later — tell us before ordering if anchoring is the job.
Digga 9DDS Auger Package Questions, Answered
Do I need the linkage with my 9DDS?
Only if your machine does not already have one. The linkage is the pinned connector between the drive and the mount, and Digga specifies the 100mm HI-004242K for 9K through 30K drives. If you are moving a mount over from another drive, check its linkage size first — a 75mm linkage from a 1DSS through 7DDT drive will not fit the 9DDS.
Single pin or two pin?
A single pin lets the drive hang and find vertical on its own, which suits plumb holes on reasonably level ground. Two pins fix the drive to the dipper so the boom sets the angle, which suits angled holes, work across a slope, and holding the drive steady while it collars. Match the pin range to the pins on your dipper.
What auger bits fit the 9DDS?
The 9DDS runs a 2.5" Hex output shaft, so it takes A8 earth auger bits and RC8 rock and earth combo bits. Digga's published ceiling for this drive is 48" in earth and 48" in clay or shale, though ground conditions decide what is sensible on the day.
Is the 9DDS a two-speed drive?
No, it is single speed. Digga's two-speed drives in this class shift between a high-torque and a high-speed range while drilling, need a case drain return, and cost considerably more. Single speed suits most drilling; the shift earns its keep on large diameters where clearing spoil takes the time.
What is the Cradle Hitch for?
It carries the drive in a cradle instead of letting it swing on the pin. That steadies the drive while it collars a hole and while the machine tracks between holes, and it is the usual choice for production drilling where the drive is picked up and set down all day.
Is the HALO Alignment Kit a bolt-on?
No, despite the name. Choosing it supplies the drive with HALO built into the hood at the factory, with the extension cable and in-cab 12V plug. The lights sit on the drive next to the hole, so the operator corrects from the seat instead of taking direction from someone standing beside the auger.
Can I use this drive for helical piles or screw anchors?
Mechanically yes, but read the warranty note above first. Digga requires its Energy Control Valve for anchoring work, because the valve protects the motor from pile kickback, and the ECV must be specified with the drive rather than fitted afterwards.
How is shipping calculated?
Shipping is calculated at checkout from the weight of your order and your delivery address, and the charge is shown before you complete the order. These drives ship by LTL freight on a pallet.
On delivery: inspect the crate before you sign. Note any damage on the bill of lading at the time of delivery, photograph it, and email support@eskidsteer.com — a clean signature makes a carrier claim much harder to win.

Failure to Accept Products on Delivery

Can I ship to multiple addresses?

Wrong Address:
Please review and ensure that you have entered the correct address. We are not responsible for non-delivery due to errors in the address that you provide. If an order is returned due to an incorrect address, we will refund the original order (excluding the shipping fee) and ask that you re-submit your order.

Returns
Returns
We offer returns and exchanges in limited circumstances as follows:
- In order to submit a return, you must contact us by email at support@eSkidsteer.com for us to confirm the items ordered are eligible for return or exchange;
- To be eligible for a return, you must commence the return process within 30 days of your item being delivered to you and:
- it must be unused, for example, once an item is hooked up to an attachment plate, hydraulic lines or electrical connection, it will not be eligible for return. Likewise, if your item shows any sign of use, which we may determine in our sole and absolute discretion, we will not accept the return;
- it must be in the same condition you received it in. You will be required to send us timestamped photos of the condition of your items as a condition to determine your eligibility for the return or exchange; and
- it must be returned in the same packaging or containers as it was received in.
We do not accept returns for products that were listed as final sale items at the time of purchase.
You agree to pay a 25% restocking fee on all returns, which we will deduct from any refund owing to you.
After the above referenced 30-day period, unfortunately we cannot offer you a refund or exchange, under any circumstances.
If your return or exchange is approved, we will provide instructions on shipping your items back to us or the applicable supplier via email.
You agree that you shall be responsible for all return shipping costs and related expenses.
Our shipping cost to you is not refundable.
You are also responsible for ensuring the items are carefully packaged for shipment and that risk of loss or damage during return shipping shall be your sole liability. You may wish to obtain insurance while the returned items are in transit.
Lost or Damaged
If the item is damaged when you receive it, do not sign the proof of delivery, and contact us immediately at support@eSkidsteer.com. If you sign the proof of delivery form, you cannot later claim the item was lost (i.e. not delivered) or damaged on arrival.
If the item is damaged on arrival take photos of the damage with a time stamp.
In the event the item is lost or damaged on arrival, we will assist you with filing a reimbursement claim directly with the applicable supplier or shipping company as applicable. However, you agree that as we are not the direct supplier of the items, it shall be your responsibility to pursue any claims with the applicable supplier in the event your lost or damaged item is not replaced by the supplier or carrier.
