The Digga 13DDS is a high-flow single-speed excavator auger drive for 13–16T excavators machines — delivering the torque and flow handling required for large-diameter foundation, pile, and caisson drilling. Built around Digga's compact high-torque planetary gearbox with Digga-designed Eaton motor and integrated pressure relief valve, the 13DDS eliminates bulky external valve blocks. 2-piece shaft design. HALO alignment system compatible. Warranty: 5-year gearbox / 3-year motor / lifetime shaft pull-out. Made in Dyersville, Iowa, USA by Digga.

Q: What is the difference between 13DDS (DDS) and the DDT version?
DDS = single-speed high-flow drive. DDT = two-speed version of the same drive — allows switching between high-torque/low-speed and high-speed/lower-torque modes for different drilling conditions. For most foundation and pile drilling, DDS single-speed is standard. DDT provides additional flexibility for variable ground conditions on the same job. |
|
Q: What mounting bracket do I need?
The 13DDS requires an excavator-specific mounting bracket for your machine's dipper arm pin configuration. Digga manufactures brackets for most excavator brands. |
|
Q: What auger bits are compatible?
The 13DDS is compatible with Digga auger bits in the appropriate hub size for this drive class. |
|
Q: How does HALO work?
HALO is an optional LED plumb alignment system that attaches to the auger drive. It uses LED lighting visible from the cab to indicate when the auger is plumb (vertical). The operator adjusts the boom until HALO indicates plumb before beginning each hole, ensuring straight foundation holes without a ground spotter. |
|
Q: Can this drive be used for helical anchor installation?
The 13DDS can be converted for anchor/screw anchor use with the addition of Digga's ECV (Energy Control Valve / Anti-Kickback Valve). Using it for anchoring without an ECV voids the gearbox warranty. |
