What is the difference between a root grapple and a bucket grapple?
A root grapple has an open bottom with tines, allowing dirt to sift through while you hold large debris like logs and brush. A bucket grapple (or scrap grapple) has a solid bottom, ideal for moving loose material, scrap, and demolition debris without spilling.
Do I need a third hydraulic line?
Yes, all grapples require an auxiliary hydraulic circuit to operate the upper cylinder (the "jaw"). Most modern skid steers come equipped with these auxiliary hydraulics standard.
Are the cylinders protected?
