    📘 Overview

Built as a 3D concrete printing machine and as a general-purpose progressive cavity grout pump, the Ventures Equipment concrete printing pump system (VE3D) feeds a printer or a placement hose at 10-12 cubic yards an hour through a 4 in. heavy-duty outlet, with aggregate up to 3/8 in. Variable speed and reversible operation matter more here than on a general pour: 3D concrete printing lives or dies on a bead that does not pulse, and the progressive cavity design gives constant output with no surge at the nozzle. Paired with the system silo the machine becomes a continuous mixing plant - 6,000 lb of bulk material on adjustable legs, mixed and pumped at 3-6 cubic yards an hour, which is the rate that keeps a print head moving rather than waiting on bag mixing. The system is supplied on a skid or trailer mount, is covered by a 1-year limited warranty, and is built in North Texas, USA.

⚙ Key Features of the VE3D Pump and Silo System

    • Progressive cavity pump end delivering 10-12 cubic yards per hour with constant output - no pulsation at the nozzle, which is the single requirement a printed bead cannot tolerate.
    • Variable speed and reversible, so pump rate can be trimmed to match print head travel speed and the line can be depressurised without breaking it.
    • 6,000 lb silo with a continuous mixer, turning bulk material into a continuously mixed 3-6 cubic yards per hour rather than a bag-by-bag batch cycle.
    • Adjustable silo legs to set working height, so the silo can clear the mixer and feed the pump on uneven or built-up ground.
    • 8 cubic foot (225 L) hopper on the pump, which buffers the mixer output and keeps the pump fed through a material changeover.
    • 4 in. heavy-duty (101 mm) discharge and 3/8 in. (10 mm) aggregate capacity, so the same system prints and also does conventional grout, SCC and shotcrete work.
    • Skid or trailer mount - the system moves between a fabrication yard and a build site without being re-engineered.
    • Built in North Texas, USA, with a 1-year limited warranty on the machine.

🔑 What the VE3D System Changes on a Print Job

    • Print a bead that does not pulse. Progressive cavity delivery gives constant output with no surge at the nozzle, which is the difference between a clean printed layer and a visibly rippled one.
    • Keep the print head moving. Continuous silo mixing at 3-6 cubic yards per hour supplies material without the stop-start of bag batching, so print time is governed by the machine rather than by material supply.
    • Hold 6,000 lb of material on site. The silo removes the bag-handling labour and the storage footprint that bagged material demands on a print job.
    • Trim the pump to the printer, not the other way round. Variable speed and reversible operation let pump rate follow the print path, including slow passes and corners.
    • Use the same system for conventional work. With 3/8 in. aggregate capacity and a 4 in. discharge it does grout, SCC and shotcrete between print jobs, so it is not idle capital between projects.
    • Set it up on ground that is not level. Adjustable silo legs set working height on site instead of requiring a prepared pad.

🔗 Printer and Hose Compatibility on the VE3D

The pump end discharges through a 4 in. heavy-duty (101 mm) outlet and handles material with aggregate up to 3/8 in. (10 mm). That is the interface a gantry or robotic-arm print head connects to through placement hose, and it is the same outlet used for conventional grout, SCC and shotcrete work.

The silo feeds the pump through its continuous mixer at 3-6 cubic yards per hour. Pump capacity is higher than mixed-material supply at 10-12 cubic yards per hour, so the pump is never the limiting factor and can be run below capacity to match the print head's travel speed.

Print head and control-system integration is specific to your printer. Order the system and we will confirm the discharge and control arrangement with you before it ships.

🚜 How the VE3D Concrete Printing Machine Is Sited

The VE3D is a complete pump and mixing system supplied on a skid or trailer mount. It is not an attachment and does not mount to a loader or excavator. Siting is governed by the silo and by the distance from the pump to the print head or placement point.

Site requirement What the VE3D system needs
Mounting Skid or trailer mount - specified with the order
Silo footprint Level, load-bearing standing for 6,000 lb of material plus the silo
Silo height Adjustable legs set working height over the mixer
Mixed output 3-6 cubic yards per hour through the continuous mixer
Pump output 10-12 cubic yards per hour, variable and reversible
Discharge 4 in. heavy-duty (101 mm) outlet to placement hose or print head
Material Aggregate up to 3/8 in. (10 mm)

Pump capacity deliberately exceeds mixed-material supply, so the pump runs below its ceiling and its speed can be trimmed to the print head rather than the print head waiting on material. For conventional work the same outlet feeds standard placement hose.

Drive configuration and printer integration are set up per project. Place the order and we will confirm the mount, the drive and the discharge arrangement with you before the system is built and shipped.

Everything needed to size this machine to your site is on this page - add it to your cart to see delivered pricing for your address. If anything about the power supply or the access route still needs checking, we confirm it with you after the order is placed.

🔗 What the VE3D System Is Used For

The VE3D is bought for concrete 3d printing and stays useful between print jobs. As 3d concrete printing equipment it is the material half of the process - the pump and the continuous mixer a print head draws from. The silo mixer turns bulk material into continuously mixed supply, and as a progressive cavity concrete pump with a 4 in. discharge the same unit handles conventional grout, SCC and shotcrete. Buyers weighing a concrete pump with mixer against a bare concrete grout pump are really deciding whether bulk silo supply earns its footprint on the job.

    • 3D concrete printing (3DCP)
    • Continuous mixing from bulk silo material
    • Structural and masonry grout
    • Self-consolidating concrete (SCC)
    • Shotcrete and spray application
    • Pour and form work

🔗 What Else Pairs With the VE3D Pump System

❓ VE3D Concrete Printing Machine Questions, Answered

Inspect every component before you sign. The VE3D arrives as a system - pump unit and, where ordered, the silo and its legs - so count the pieces against the delivery paperwork as well as checking for damage. Note any shortage or damage on the Bill of Lading at delivery; a signed clean BOL closes the carrier claim.

    Is the VE3D a 3D printer?

No. The VE3D is the material system that feeds a 3D concrete printer - a progressive cavity pump with an optional 6,000 lb silo and continuous mixer. The print head, gantry or robotic arm is a separate machine; the VE3D mixes and delivers the material it prints with.

Why does a 3D concrete printing machine need a progressive cavity pump?

A progressive cavity pump delivers constant output determined by the rotor and stator geometry, with no pulsation at the hose end or nozzle. A printed bead shows every surge as a ripple in the layer, so constant flow matters more in printing than in a conventional pour.

How much material can the VE3D silo hold and mix?

The VE3D silo holds up to 6,000 lb of material and mixes continuously at approximately 3-6 cubic yards per hour. The pump itself is rated at 10-12 cubic yards per hour, so the pump runs below capacity and material supply sets the pace.

What aggregate size can the VE3D handle?

The VE3D pump and silo both handle material with aggregate up to 3/8 in. (10 mm), which is why the same system also runs conventional grout, self-consolidating concrete and shotcrete work between print jobs.

Can the pump speed be matched to the print head?

Yes. The VE3D pump is variable speed and reversible, so output can be trimmed to the print head's travel speed, including slower passes and corners, and the line can be depressurised without breaking it.

Is the VE3D supplied on a skid or a trailer?

Both mounting arrangements are available. The mount is specified with the order, along with the drive configuration and the discharge arrangement for your printer.

What ground preparation does the VE3D silo need?

The silo needs level, load-bearing standing for 6,000 lb of material plus the silo structure. Adjustable legs set the working height over the mixer, so a prepared concrete pad is not required where the ground is sound.

Can the VE3D be used for work other than 3D printing?

Yes. With a 4 in. heavy-duty discharge and 3/8 in. aggregate capacity, the VE3D pump handles masonry and structural grout, self-consolidating concrete, shotcrete and pour-and-form work, so it is not idle between print projects.

Where is the VE3D built and what warranty does it carry?

The VE3D is built at the Ventures Equipment facility in North Texas, USA, and carries a one-year limited warranty against defects in material and workmanship, to the initial user. Normal wear parts such as rotors, stators, seals and hoses are excluded.

How does the VE3D system ship?
