This is the harness many customers have requested specifically to unlock the Bobcat grader for use on other brands. The grader typically routes controls through an onboard gateway/controller so it won’t behave like a standard plug-and-play attachment on non-Bobcat machines. This bypass harness is designed to route the machine’s 14-pin signals directly to the grader/attachment solenoids so you can run the attachment without the original gateway in the middle.
We originally built these for Super Controller users who wanted a clean, dependable way to operate attachments that were otherwise locked to a single brand. The goal is simple: reduce extra electronics, simplify the wiring path, and make the attachment operate like most of the industry expects it to.
This harness ships pinned for our Super Controller configuration. A pin tool and wiring reference are included so advanced users can re-pin for special applications if needed.
What does it do?
Many Bobcat® attachments that use the 7-pin ecosystem rely on a controller/gateway on the attachment side. In many cases, that extra layer isn’t required for basic operation and can become an obstacle when switching machine brands. This harness bypasses that controller and connects the machine’s 14-pin outputs straight to the solenoids so the attachment responds to your controls more directly.
One limitation to understand is the loader’s available outputs. Some machines only provide a small number of electrical circuits from the factory (for example, certain Kubota SVL models have limited outputs unless equipped with enhanced controls). If your machine can’t supply enough circuits, the attachment can’t perform every function no matter which harness you use. As of mid-2014, Kubota added an add-on button control option on some platforms; the Genius Super Controllers can also be used to add more controls in an easier, lower-cost way.
Bobcat® Cold Planers: These typically use 7 solenoids (6 for function control plus one to divert flow from the drum to the control manifold). Most loaders only have enough switches for six controlled outputs, so full planer operation may require an enhanced control setup. We continue to work on additional solutions and brand-specific plug-in options.
This harness is built to manage 10 solenoids. On some Bobcat® attachments, solenoids may be paired, so 10 solenoids does not always equal 10 independent functions. Please verify your attachment’s valve/solenoid layout prior to ordering.
It is intended to connect machines such as Case, Gehl, Kubota, JCB/Volvo, Mustang, Takeuchi, New Holland, John Deere, Yanmar, and Caterpillar (after 2014) to compatible Bobcat-branded attachments.
The harness is pinned to work with the Super Controller by default. Re-pinning may be required for certain custom applications.
This harness is built to operate Bobcat® 96" and 108" graders and other high-function attachments that require more than six controlled outputs.
No. This harness is designed specifically to be used alongside the Super Controller and is not intended to function properly without it.
Most machines do not have enough control buttons or electrical outputs to operate all grader functions such as hydraulic side shift or laser receivers without an auxiliary controller.
Not necessarily. Many attachments use two solenoids to operate a single function, so the number of usable functions depends on the attachment’s internal design.
High-function attachments such as Bobcat graders, certain planers, and laser-equipped attachments often require more than six controlled circuits.
The harness can only deliver the outputs your machine is capable of supplying. Machines with limited auxiliary controls may not be able to operate all attachment functions.
Selecting the wrong connector style can prevent installation and operation, so confirming the connector type before ordering is critical.
Cold planers often require seven solenoids. Only machines with sufficient control capability can fully operate them using this harness.
No. This is an aftermarket product and is not manufactured, endorsed, or affiliated with Bobcat®.
No. The harness does not interact with the machine’s internal systems and is designed to operate independently of onboard electronics.
This harness provides control for up to 10 solenoids.
Some Bobcat-branded attachments use onboard electronic gateway controllers that restrict compatibility. This harness removes that layer and routes control directly to the solenoids.
Attachments may use different solenoid connector styles. You must identify whether your attachment uses Delphi or Deutsch connectors and select the correct option.
Confirm your machine has sufficient controls, verify the attachment’s solenoid count, and identify the correct solenoid connector style to ensure compatibility.
