The middle model of three two-speed drives on the 2.5" hex shaft, this 2 speed auger drive sits between the 5DDT and 7DDT and asks for more flow than the 5DDT to reach its higher torque. All three shift between a high-torque and a high-speed range, all three need a case drain, and all three take the same A6, RC6 and DR6 auger bits — so the choice between them comes down entirely to what your machine’s hydraulics can deliver.

6DDT 2 Speed High Flow Auger Drive Questions, Answered
When do I use high speed versus high torque on the 6DDT?
Low speed and high torque for large-diameter augers and hard fracturable rock, where turning force matters more than rotation. High speed and low torque for smaller diameters and softer soils — and for spinning spoil clear of a large auger on lift-out, which is where most of the time saving actually shows up across a day.
Does this drive require a case drain?
Yes. A two-speed drive shifts a hydraulically actuated motor and leaks internal case pressure by design. Without a dedicated low-pressure return to tank, that pressure builds against the motor shaft seal and blows it. Digga supplies the case drain hose with the drive; your machine needs the return line available.
Is the two-speed controller included?
No. The drive ships fitted with a 10-foot powerlead and two-pin connector, and controller kits are separate. Digga offers plug-and-play kits with a rocker switch and cigarette lighter lead in 10, 20, 40 and 50 foot harness lengths, plus joystick-mounted toggle and floor-mounted foot switch options.
Which of the 5DDT, 6DDT and 7DDT should I buy?
Check the flow your machine actually supplies, then take the drive whose recommended range your machine sits inside. All three share the 2.5" hex shaft, the same bit family and the same frames, so nothing is stranded either way.
What warranty applies to the 6DDT?
Five years on the gearbox and three years on the motor for drilling use, plus a lifetime shaft pull-out warranty, subject to maintenance per the operator’s manual. Digga treats anchoring separately: drives used for anchoring above 12,000 ft-lbs without an Energy Control Valve carry no warranty.
What hydraulic flow does it need?
This one is rated for 10-36 GPM. Check that figure against your machine’s auxiliary hydraulic output before choosing — a machine that cannot supply the rated flow will never reach the rated performance, and one that exceeds the limit will run the attachment hot.
Will this fit my machine?
Check three things: it is built for 4.5-8T (9,900-17,600 lbs); the interface is Skid steer frame or mount, sold separately; and it needs 10-36 GPM. Add your machine make and model at checkout and we confirm the fit before the order ships.

Returns
We offer returns and exchanges in limited circumstances as follows:
- In order to submit a return, you must contact us by email at support@eSkidsteer.com for us to confirm the items ordered are eligible for return or exchange;
- To be eligible for a return, you must commence the return process within 30 days of your item being delivered to you and:
- it must be unused, for example, once an item is hooked up to an attachment plate, hydraulic lines or electrical connection, it will not be eligible for return. Likewise, if your item shows any sign of use, which we may determine in our sole and absolute discretion, we will not accept the return;
- it must be in the same condition you received it in. You will be required to send us timestamped photos of the condition of your items as a condition to determine your eligibility for the return or exchange; and
- it must be returned in the same packaging or containers as it was received in.
We do not accept returns for products that were listed as final sale items at the time of purchase.
You agree to pay a 25% restocking fee on all returns, which we will deduct from any refund owing to you.
After the above referenced 30-day period, unfortunately we cannot offer you a refund or exchange, under any circumstances.
If your return or exchange is approved, we will provide instructions on shipping your items back to us or the applicable supplier via email.
You agree that you shall be responsible for all return shipping costs and related expenses.
Our shipping cost to you is not refundable.
You are also responsible for ensuring the items are carefully packaged for shipment and that risk of loss or damage during return shipping shall be your sole liability. You may wish to obtain insurance while the returned items are in transit.
Lost or Damaged
If the item is damaged when you receive it, do not sign the proof of delivery, and contact us immediately at support@eSkidsteer.com. If you sign the proof of delivery form, you cannot later claim the item was lost (i.e. not delivered) or damaged on arrival.
If the item is damaged on arrival take photos of the damage with a time stamp.
In the event the item is lost or damaged on arrival, we will assist you with filing a reimbursement claim directly with the applicable supplier or shipping company as applicable. However, you agree that as we are not the direct supplier of the items, it shall be your responsibility to pursue any claims with the applicable supplier in the event your lost or damaged item is not replaced by the supplier or carrier.
