The Haugen Tele-Tach (MTACH) is a telehandler to skid steer adapter — a carriage-mounted plate that converts your telehandler's native coupler into a Universal Skid Steer Quick Attach (SSQA), allowing the machine to run the entire universe of skid steer bucket, grapple, broom, auger, and hydraulic attachments. Available in 15 machine-specific configurations for Skytrak, JLG (multiple styles), Genie, IR/Skyjack, Dynatach, Snorkel, Extreme, JCB (Q-Fit and Narrow), Bobcat Versahandler, Manitou, and Cat IT. Spring-loaded pins hold skid steer attachments securely in place. Zinc-coated leveler and springs for long-lasting performance. Weights range from 225 lbs (MTACH-S5719) to 405 lbs (MTACH-BOB). Made in USA. ⚠️ CAUTION: Never use with a Work Platform or Truss Jib.

The Tele-Tach must be matched to your specific telehandler make, model, and coupler style — select the correct SKU from the table above. Once installed, the Tele-Tach accepts all standard Universal Skid Steer Quick Attach (SSQA) attachments. ⚠️ CRITICAL: Never use the Tele-Tach in conjunction with a Work Platform or Truss Jib. It is rated for material handling only — buckets, grapples, brooms, forks, augers. It is not intended to support loads or personnel when used as a work platform mount. Contact Haugen at 877-580-6218 if your telehandler model is not listed.
The Tele-Tach is available for 15 telehandler mount configurations. Select the SKU matching your machine:
| Skytrak | Old Style JLG | JLG 5-18A & 5-19A | IR & Skyjack |
| Skyjack S519 | Wide Dynatach | Narrow Dynatach | Snorkel 5719 |
| Extreme | JCB Q-Fit | JCB Narrow | Bobcat Versahandler |
| Manitou | Cat IT | Genie 5519 |
⚠️ CAUTION: Never use in conjunction with a Work Platform or Truss Jib. The Tele-Tach is intended for material handling only (buckets, augers, brooms, forks, grapples) — not for personnel lifting. Contact Haugen at 877-580-6218 if your machine is not listed.

Q: Why can't I use the Tele-Tach with a Work Platform or Truss Jib?
Work Platforms and Truss Jibs are engineered to specific safety standards (ANSI B56.6-2016 for platforms, OSHA for jibs) that include the rigidity and load-path certification of the attachment-to-machine connection. Adding the Tele-Tach as an intermediary coupler introduces an additional flex point and an uncertified connection into that load path, which voids the engineering basis for the safety rating of those attachments. Use Work Platforms and Truss Jibs only with the machine's native coupler and Haugen's purpose-built telehandler versions of those products. |
|
Q: What happens when I attach a hydraulic skid steer attachment?
The Tele-Tach converts the mechanical coupler interface only — it does not provide hydraulic connections. If you want to run a hydraulic skid steer attachment (grapple, sweeper, auger), you still need to connect the hydraulic hoses directly from the telehandler's auxiliary circuit to the attachment. The Tele-Tach makes the mechanical quick-attach connection; hydraulics are connected separately as with any other telehandler attachment. |
|
Q: Does the Tele-Tach require any modifications to my telehandler?
No modifications to the telehandler are required. The MTACH attaches to your existing carriage coupler using the same connection points as a standard telehandler attachment. |
|
Q: How does the zinc-coated leveler work?
The leveler is a mechanism with zinc-coated components and spring tension that allows the attachment plate to pivot slightly relative to the carriage. As the telehandler boom extends or changes angle, the geometry of the carriage changes slightly — the leveler allows the skid steer attachment to maintain a consistent working angle relative to the ground rather than tilting as the boom moves. This is particularly important for bucket and blade work where consistent cutting edge angle matters. |
|
Q: What if my telehandler is not one of the 15 listed mounts?
Haugen offers additional custom mounts beyond the 15 standard configurations. Contact Haugen Attachments at 877-580-6218 with your machine make, model, and year to inquire about compatibility. Haugen has been manufacturing the Tele-Tach for many years and may have mount specifications for older or less common models on file. |
