The Digga TTD-3 is the MFT taper outer (gauge) tooth for Digga RC4 through RC10 Rock/Combination Auger Bits — the outer-edge tooth responsible for cutting the hole to final diameter and preventing the auger from binding in harder material. Featuring a heavy-duty multi-facet tungsten carbide tip that fractures shale, rock, and asphalt, the TTD-3 sits in the outer pockets of the RC auger head using the TTD-H taper lock system. 1-step knock-in/knock-out replacement. • Outer gauge tooth prevents the bit from losing diameter in hard material — the most common RC auger failure mode — when outer teeth wear down, the auger begins to cut oversize holes (undersized gauge, more accurately — the bit's effective cutting diameter shrinks). This causes the auger to bind in the hole as the bit diameter is no longer matching the hole wall. Timely TTD-3 replacement prevents this.
• MFT tip at the outer edge where rotational speed is highest — maximum fracturing force per revolution — the outer tooth travels the greatest distance per revolution, meaning it contacts hard material with the highest force. MFT geometry at this position maximizes fracturing efficiency where the auger's mechanical advantage is greatest.
• Taper lock provides higher retention than standard tooth systems under rock drilling vibration — rock drilling generates high-amplitude vibration that can dislodge teeth from less secure retention systems. The taper lock engages deeper into the pocket under vibration load, reducing tooth loss in demanding conditions.
• RC4-RC10 compatibility allows one part number across the full RC fleet — the TTD-3 (with TTD-H holder) fits RC4 through RC10, covering skid steer to large excavator configurations. Fleet operators running multiple RC models stock one outer tooth SKU.
