The Haugen skid steer angle broom (power angle broom) is a hydraulically angled rotary broom available in 72" and 84" widths, with two angle configurations — Hydraulic Angle (full angle, single-circuit) and Hydraulic Angle 50/50 (split angle allowing each half to angle independently). Five wire kit options (WR-001 through WR-005) cover standard harness plus Case 14-pin, Cat 8-pin, Cat 7-pin 2-function, and Cat 7-pin 3-function machine-specific harnesses. Optional Water Kit (WK-001) adds dust suppression. 40 total SKUs. Requires aux hydraulics for angle; the broom sweep is driven by the machine's hydraulic motor. Universal Quick Attach. Made in USA with a 1-year warranty.

Select: Width (72" or 84") → Angle Config (Hydraulic Angle or 50/50) → Wire Kit (WR-001 through WR-005) → Options (Standard or Water Kit). Example: HAB 72-H-WR-003 = 72" Hydraulic Angle with Cat 8-pin harness, no water kit. HAB 84-H-HAB-2-001-WR-001-WK-001 = 84" Hydraulic Angle 50/50 with Standard harness and Water Kit.
Requires one auxiliary hydraulic circuit for angle control. The broom brush motor is also hydraulically driven. Confirm your machine has a functioning aux circuit and adequate GPM for broom operation. Select the wire kit matching your machine's auxiliary circuit joystick wiring — incorrect kit selection will result in non-functioning angle control from the joystick.
Compatible with skid steer loaders and compact track loaders with Universal Quick Attach:
| Bobcat | Caterpillar | John Deere | Case |
| New Holland | Takeuchi | Kubota | Gehl |
Requires one auxiliary hydraulic circuit. Check your machine's rated operating capacity against the attachment weight before operating. Power angle brooms require an aux circuit for hydraulic angling; the 50/50 split-angle variants require two circuits (or one circuit with a joystick-selectable split).

Q: Which wire kit do I need for my machine?
Select based on your skid steer's auxiliary circuit joystick wiring standard: WR-001 (Standard Wire Harness) for most older Bobcat, John Deere, New Holland, and machines without a specific pin connector; WR-002 for Case machines with 14-pin aux connector; WR-003 for Cat machines with 8-pin connector; WR-004 for Cat machines with 7-pin 2-function connector; WR-005 for Cat machines with 7-pin 3-function connector. If unsure, check your operator manual or contact your machine dealer to confirm aux circuit connector type. |

Q: What is the difference between Hydraulic Angle and Hydraulic Angle 50/50?
Hydraulic Angle: the entire broom moves as a single unit, angling left or right from a central pivot. One hydraulic circuit controls the angle. Hydraulic Angle 50/50: the broom is split at the center, and each half (left and right) can be angled independently. This allows debris routing in two different directions simultaneously, or fine-tuning the broom position relative to obstacles on one side while maintaining a different angle on the other. The 50/50 configuration may require additional hydraulic circuits or a specific joystick function depending on machine setup. |
|
Q: What does the Water Kit (WK-001) add?
The Water Kit adds a water spray system to the broom for dust suppression during dry sweeping. It typically includes a water tank or connection, spray nozzles, and appropriate plumbing. Dust suppression is required on many municipal contracts and improves safety and visibility during sweeping on construction sites, parking garages, and public roads. Note: the water kit requires an external water source or onboard tank depending on the specific system configuration — contact Haugen for water supply requirements. |
|
Q: Can I use this broom for snow removal?
Power angle brooms are primarily designed for dry and wet surface sweeping — dust, dirt, debris, and light material. They can move light fresh snow at lower depths. For heavy snow and packed snow removal, a dedicated snow bucket or snow pusher is more appropriate. The broom is best suited for sweeping residual snow from surfaces after bulk removal. |
|
Q: What size should I choose — 72" or 84"?
72" covers more compact skid steers and tight work areas. The 84" provides more sweep coverage per pass and is suited for larger machines on open areas. Match the broom width to your machine's rated operating capacity and the work environment — wider brooms are more productive in open areas but harder to maneuver in tight spaces. |
