This adapter lets you run attachments built for a 14-pin Bobcat-style electrical connector on a loader equipped with a 8-pin CAT/ASV/Terex output. Simply plug the 8-pin connector into your Cat/Terex/ASV machine and connect the 14-pin end to your Bobcat-based attachment — then fire up the loader and the attachment functions are ready.
The adapter is specifically designed for Cat, Terex, and ASV loaders that use the 8-pin ABC-Series output. It won’t work on machines using different wiring systems. For attachments, it supports those wired to the standard 14-pin Bobcat-style harness.
Because CAT/ASV/Terex 8-pin systems provide a maximum of four switched outputs, this adapter delivers only basic functions: Up / Down and Left / Right. That’s a limitation from the machine’s wiring standard — not the adapter itself.
The adapter is configured with six pins: the four control circuits plus two ground pins. If your attachment needs extra functions beyond Up/Down and Left/Right, this adapter will not provide them.
The 8-pin side is wired for standard CAT ABC-Series pin layout using pins A, B, C, D, E, and H. If you are using an ASV loader, you must move Pin H to Pin G to achieve full operation. The kit comes with the tools required for this adjustment.
Avoid this adapter if your attachment:
Basic single-use pin tools are provided for occasional pin moves or changes. However, for frequent re-pinning, maintenance, or working with multiple attachments or machines, a commercial-duty Deutsch tool is strongly recommended.
A generic machine-to-attachment adapter manual is available to help with setup, wiring verification, and correct pin configuration:

Both ends of this adapter are pinned according to factory-standard wiring using OEM-style components. However, because aftermarket, auction, or second-hand attachments may have altered wiring, or some machines may lack full factory-installed electrical controls, we cannot guarantee compatibility in all situations.
Always verify pin-outs before powering up your machine or attachment. Use the included tools or a proper Deutsch pin tool for adjustments, and consult a qualified technician if you are unsure about wiring or compatibility.
This adapter allows you to connect 14-pin Bobcat-style attachments to a loader that originally uses a CAT/ABC-Series, Terex, or ASV 8-pin electrical port. It converts the 8-pin machine-side connector into a 14-pin output to fit Bobcat-standard attachments.
It is compatible with loaders that have a CAT/ABC-Series or Terex/ASV 8-pin machine-side connector, and with attachments wired for the Bobcat 14-pin standard. Before ordering, ensure your loader uses the correct 8-pin system and your attachment uses 14-pin Bobcat-style wiring.
No. The adapter is plug-and-play. Simply plug the 8-pin side into your loader’s port and connect your 14-pin attachment to the adapter’s output — no wiring modifications or splicing required.
Because 8-pin systems usually have fewer circuits than a full 14-pin wiring harness, only basic attachment functions — like simple hydraulic controls or ground/power — are guaranteed. Attachments needing many electrical circuits may have limited functionality depending on the loader’s wiring capabilities.
No — installation is simple and requires no special tools. Plug the adapter into your machine’s 8-pin port and attach your 14-pin harness to the adapter output. It’s a quick plug-and-play solution.
Because of wiring and circuit limitations inherent to 8-pin systems, high-flow or multi-function attachments may not fully operate through this adapter. Verify the attachment’s power and circuit requirements before using it through the adapter.
No — since this is a passive adapter, it doesn’t alter your machine's wiring or require any permanent modifications. It simply adapts connector types for compatibility.
Yes. As long as the machine has an 8-pin connector and the attachment uses a 14-pin Bobcat-style plug, you can unplug and reconnect without issues. This makes the adapter reusable for multiple machines or attachments.
First, ensure the 8-pin connector is fully seated in the machine port and the 14-pin output is securely plugged into the attachment. Then confirm the attachment is properly wired for the Bobcat 14-pin standard. If some functions still don’t work, the issue may be due to limited circuits on the 8-pin system rather than the adapter itself.
