Stop letting brand differences limit your attachment options. This John Deere 14-pin attachment to Cat/Terex/ASV adapter lets you confidently run your favorite John Deere 14-pin controlled attachments on your Cat, Terex or ASV skid steer loader with no cutting, splicing, or guessing at wires.
Simply plug one end of the harness into your Cat/Terex/ASV skid steer and connect the other end to your John Deere 14-pin attachment. Once connected, your factory joystick buttons and controls will operate the attachment just like they were built for your machine. It’s a fast, clean solution designed to keep your loader working instead of sitting while you chase wiring diagrams.
Control Outputs & Injector Option: On Cat ABC-series machines there are only four factory control pins available. This adapter is built accordingly with four control pins installed, giving you reliable operation using the controls that actually exist on the machine. If your attachment requires more functions, pair this harness with our Injector controller to add two additional momentary controls and two locking controls to your Cat ABC-series loader for advanced, multi-function attachments.
ASV Users – Please Read: The 8-pin side of this adapter is wired for Caterpillar ABC-series machines using pins A, B, C, D, E and H. To use this adapter on many ASV skid steers, you will need to move Pin H to Pin G for full operation. We include the pin tools in the kit, and you’ll find step-by-step instructions in the video section of our website so you can make the change quickly and correctly.
If you expect to move pins frequently on multiple attachments, our free single-use tools will get the job done, but shops, dealers and high-volume users may want to upgrade to our commercial-duty pin tools below for faster, long-term service in the field or the shop.
Both ends of this product are built to factory pin specifications with original factory parts. We cannot guarantee that your machine was ordered with all of the factory controls, nor can we guarantee that your attachment is pinned accordingly as well. This is especially evident with auction attachments or second hand items bought on the internet. We include tools and instructions on moving pins to make everything align.
CAT ABC-Series machines only provide 4 electrical control functions. This is a manufacturer limitation, not a restriction introduced by the adapter. If you require more functions, you can use our Injector Controller to add 2 momentary and 2 locking controls.
No. CAT ABC-Series machines do not natively include switched power on Pin K. If you need switched power or additional functions, consider our Injector controller or contact us to build a custom version.
Yes. This adapter is designed to let older John Deere 14-pin attachments operate on Cat, Terex, and ASV skid steer loaders equipped with the CAT ABC-Series 8-pin control system.
Yes, but with one requirement: the ASV control system uses a different pin assignment. Pin H must be moved to Pin G for full operation. Tools are included, and a how-to video is available on our website.
No major modification is required. If your attachment uses non-standard pin locations, the included pin tools allow you to reposition connector pins easily.
Single-use pin-removal tools are included with the adapter. If you want durable, reusable tools, we recommend our commercial-grade versions for both 14-pin and 8-pin connectors.
