Unlike the laser-indicator blades elsewhere in the range, an MCR unit does not just tell the operator they are off grade - it is built with a hydromechanical interface and a 10-inch vertical stroke so a guidance system can move the blade automatically, and it will run in manual, laser-assisted or fully laser-guided mode. Machine horsepower sets your options: the 7 ft Pro needs 60 HP, the 8.4 ft Pro 65 HP, the Pro Plus 75 HP and the Pro Plus OS 95 HP. Every unit ships with the complete levelling beam, the hydromechanical interface for vertical and angular movement, all hydraulic lines, fittings and components, and a triangular equipment holder - in other words everything needed to add guidance. The guidance device itself is not included: laser, RTS and GPS/GNSS are sourced separately or added here as options, and the unit cannot grade automatically without one.
A skid steer laser grader attachment and a machine-control unit are not the same purchase, and the difference is worth being clear about before you spend. A laser grader attachment for skid steer work indicates to the operator; a 2d machine control unit corrects the blade itself. Compatibility is decided by mount type rather than brand. Your machine needs a standard SSQA plate, 18-25 GPM standard-flow auxiliary hydraulics, and a minimum of 60 HP for the 7 ft Pro, 65 HP for the 8.4 ft Pro, 75 HP for the Pro Plus and 95 HP for the Pro Plus OS. Which machine control blade should I choose?
Machine horsepower narrows it first: the 7 ft Pro needs 60 HP, the 8.4 ft Pro 65 HP, the Pro Plus 75 HP and the Pro Plus OS 95 HP. Then decide on width - the two Pro beams are fixed at 7 ft and 8.4 ft, while the Pro Plus extends to 12 ft and the Pro Plus OS to 13.4 ft on hydraulic wings. Wings earn their keep on open pads and roadway work.
Is the laser or GPS system included?
No. The guidance device - laser, RTS or GPS/GNSS - is not included, and the blade cannot grade automatically without one. What is included is everything needed to add it: the hydromechanical interface, all hydraulic lines, fittings and components, and the triangular equipment holder. Guidance components can be added as options here, including a Leica iCON iGD2 2D solution and a Leica MLS820 two-receiver kit.
How accurate is the Skeer machine control grader?
The 2D machine control ready blade is accurate to 1/10 of an inch. That tolerance is what separates a pad you can pour on from one that needs a re-work pass.
What is the difference between this and a laser-ready Skeer blade?
A laser-indicator blade such as the Grading Blade with Tilt Plate tells the operator when the blade is off grade, and the operator makes the correction. The Machine Control Ready blade adds a hydromechanical interface and a 10-inch vertical stroke so the guidance system moves the blade itself. It is the difference between an alarm and an autopilot.
Can I use the machine control blade without a guidance system?
Yes. The Skeer MCR blade runs in manual mode as a conventional 6-way grading blade, with 13 degrees of tilt and 30 degrees of swivel. Laser-assisted and laser-guided modes become available once a guidance device is fitted.
Will it work with a guidance brand I already own?
The MCR unit is supplied with all the hydraulic components needed to add a guidance device and is not tied to one brand, so an existing laser, RTS or GPS/GNSS system can generally be used. The optional packages offered here are Leica, and the transmitter option is Topcon.
Do I need one laser receiver or two?
Two. The optional receiver kit supplies two receivers, because reading both ends of the blade is what lets the system hold slope rather than only height. Two extendable masts are also needed for the receivers to sit at the transmitter beam height.
What is a 3D setup and is it available here?
A 3D setup replaces the laser plane with a positioning system - typically RTS or GPS/GNSS - so the blade follows a digital model rather than a single grade. The MCR blade is built 3D ready, but a 3D installation needs components specified against your site and machine, so it is quoted rather than sold as a configured option on this page. Which wiring harness do I need?
The universal harness is standard and fits John Deere, Caterpillar, Case, Gehl, Kubota, Takeuchi, ASV and New Holland machines among others. Bobcat loaders use a different electrical connector and take the Bobcat harness. The harness is a required selection at checkout.
What is covered by the warranty?
Skeer System provides 1 year of parts and labour on all products sold. Cutting edges and polymer pivot components are wear items and are treated as consumables. Guidance hardware carries its own manufacturer warranty.
How does the machine control grader ship?
These units ship by LTL freight. Shipping is calculated at checkout - add your configuration to the cart and enter your delivery address, and the freight charge is shown before you complete the order. Lift gate service is available for residential deliveries and can be selected at checkout.

Returns
We offer returns and exchanges in limited circumstances as follows:
- In order to submit a return, you must contact us by email at support@eSkidsteer.com for us to confirm the items ordered are eligible for return or exchange;
- To be eligible for a return, you must commence the return process within 30 days of your item being delivered to you and:
- it must be unused, for example, once an item is hooked up to an attachment plate, hydraulic lines or electrical connection, it will not be eligible for return. Likewise, if your item shows any sign of use, which we may determine in our sole and absolute discretion, we will not accept the return;
- it must be in the same condition you received it in. You will be required to send us timestamped photos of the condition of your items as a condition to determine your eligibility for the return or exchange; and
- it must be returned in the same packaging or containers as it was received in.
We do not accept returns for products that were listed as final sale items at the time of purchase.
You agree to pay a 25% restocking fee on all returns, which we will deduct from any refund owing to you.
After the above referenced 30-day period, unfortunately we cannot offer you a refund or exchange, under any circumstances.
If your return or exchange is approved, we will provide instructions on shipping your items back to us or the applicable supplier via email.
You agree that you shall be responsible for all return shipping costs and related expenses.

Lost or Damaged
If the item is damaged when you receive it, do not sign the proof of delivery, and contact us immediately at support@eSkidsteer.com. If you sign the proof of delivery form, you cannot later claim the item was lost (i.e. not delivered) or damaged on arrival.
If the item is damaged on arrival take photos of the damage with a time stamp.
In the event the item is lost or damaged on arrival, we will assist you with filing a reimbursement claim directly with the applicable supplier or shipping company as applicable. However, you agree that as we are not the direct supplier of the items, it shall be your responsibility to pursue any claims with the applicable supplier in the event your lost or damaged item is not replaced by the supplier or carrier.
