Q: How does the Lift-N-Tow work?
The attachment slides onto the forklift forks and is positioned under the front drawbar or frame of the trailer or equipment. Raising the forks lifts the front end of the vehicle off the floor. The forklift then drives to tow and position the vehicle, with the raised front wheels enabling steering control. |
|
Q: Which model should I choose?
1396C for standard trailer spotting. 1390B (5,000 lb lift / 10,000 lb tow) for medium-duty trailers and equipment. 1395B (10,000 lb lift / 16,000 lb tow) for heavy construction and industrial trailers requiring maximum tow capacity. |
|
Q: What vehicles can be towed?
Empty and loaded trailers, equipment transport dollies, large machinery carts, and any vehicle with an accessible front frame or drawbar the lift mechanism can engage under. |
|
Q: Does this require hydraulic connections?
No — the Lift-N-Tow uses the forklift's standard mast lifting function only. No auxiliary hydraulic connections are required. |
|
Q: Is it safe to tow with a forklift?
Forklift towing is appropriate for repositioning tasks at low speeds on facility floors and paved surfaces. Follow your forklift manufacturer's guidelines for towing capacity. Never use on public roads. |
