Here's a Genius idea. Why not allow people with Caterpillar attachments run them on their Bobcat Skid Steer Loader? This adapter does just that. Just plug one end into your Bobcat Loader and plug the other into your attachment equipped with an 8 pin connector. Turn on your machine and get to work. This is another Genius product. The best ideas at the best prices.
Please read this and understand. This adapter is for older Bobcat machines or newer machines who have added a 14 pin kit. 100% of newer machines do not have 14 pin. They use CAN signal 7 pin connections. This product will not work.
Note: Also works with Kubota, New Holland, Case, Gehl, JCB/Volvo, Takeuchi & Yanmar loaders.
For attachments, you must verify that it is an 8 pin style connector. It does not matter if there are less sockets. Count the positions, not the installed sockets. If it is a CAT attachment, they made them with 8 and 14 pin styles so you must verify or you will order the wrong thing and it won't work.
Note: Bobcat 14 Pin outputs 6 switched ports. Caterpillar/ASV/Terex only outputs 4 ports. You will notice that this adapter has 5 pins installed. Up/Down & Left/Right are all that is available. This is a manufacturer limitation and not something that we have introduced.
ASV Users: PLEASE READ – The 8 pin side of this product was designed for Caterpillar ABC Series attachments which use Pins ABCDEH. To use this on ASV Attachments you will need to move Pin H to G for full operation. We supply the tools in the kit and instructions are in our Video section of the web site.
If you plan on moving a lot of pins on your attachment, please note that we supply free single use tools. If you want something more, please click below for the commercial version of these tools.
Both ends of this product are built to factory pin specifications with original factory parts. We cannot guarantee that your machine was ordered with all factory controls or that your attachment is pinned accordingly. We include tools and instructions to align pins if needed.
This adapter allows you to operate Caterpillar, ASV, and Terex 8-pin attachments using your Bobcat skid steer loader equipped with a 14-pin output kit. Simply plug one end into your Bobcat machine and the other into your 8-pin attachment to begin working—no rewiring required.
This adapter works on older Bobcat machines or newer models that have had a 14-pin kit added. Newer Bobcat loaders now come standard with a 7-pin CAN system, which is not compatible with this adapter. For those machines, a 7-pin controller is required.
In addition to Bobcat 14-pin machines, this adapter also works with Kubota, New Holland, Case, Gehl, JCB/Volvo, Takeuchi, and Yanmar loaders that use the standard 14-pin control output.
Count the connector positions, not just the installed sockets. Caterpillar attachments may use either 8-pin or 14-pin styles depending on the model and year, so verifying the connector type is crucial before ordering.
Bobcat 14-pin loaders output up to six switched controls, but Caterpillar/ASV/Terex attachments are limited to four active control ports. This adapter provides all available functions—Up/Down and Left/Right—based on the attachment’s wiring capabilities.
ASV attachments require a pin relocation for full operation. Pin H must be moved to Pin G inside the 8-pin connector. The adapter kit includes the tools needed, and the process is simple with the provided instructions.
The adapter includes free single-use tools for basic pin changes. If you expect to repin attachments frequently, a commercial-grade Deutsch tool is recommended for efficiency and durability.
The adapter is built using OEM-spec components and follows factory pin configurations. When used with compatible machines and correctly pinned attachments, it is designed to operate safely without impacting machine electronics or attachment controls.
