Run a Wirtgen (John Deere) planer on your wired 14-pin skid steer—without rewiring. This custom adapter is built to let a John Deere-sold Wirtgen cold planer operate on older 14-pin, hard-wired machines (including Bobcat old 14-pin style) and compatible platforms such as Kubota, New Holland, Case, Gehl, JCB/Volvo, Takeuchi, and Yanmar.
Full planer functionality: Designed to support six primary electrical functions plus the water pump/sprayer circuit. Depending on the loader brand and how the auxiliary circuits are pinned, you may need to move the pump pin to match your machine’s output layout.
Important note about pump/sprayer control: Many 14-pin machines are equipped with only six factory controls. If your loader does not have an extra available output, the pump/sprayer may not be active unless you add additional controls (for example, an add-on controller such as an Injector-style control expansion).
Need to run this planer on a modern Bobcat 7-pin CAN machine? You’ll need a controller solution:
• If there is no water tank, use the SG-CAN60-14 to run the planer’s primary functions.
• If you want to operate the water tank sprayer, you’ll need pilot controls and the SG-CAN100-14 for expanded output capacity.
Both ends of this product are built to factory pin specifications with original factory parts. We cannot guarantee that your machine was ordered with all of the factory controls, nor can we guarantee that your attachment is pinned accordingly as well. This is especially evident with auction attachments or second hand items bought on the internet. We include tools and instructions on moving pins to make everything align.
This adapter allows a Wirtgen planer sold by John Deere to operate on older 14-pin wired skid steer loaders.
The adapter is compatible with older 14-pin wired machines including Bobcat-style systems used by Kubota, New Holland, Case, Gehl, JCB/Volvo, Takeuchi, and Yanmar loaders.
The adapter supports up to six control functions plus operation of the pump sprayer, depending on machine configuration.
Most machines only provide six controls, so the pump sprayer may not operate unless additional controls are added to the machine.
Depending on the brand of skid steer loader, the pump pin may need to be moved for proper operation.
Use on Bobcat 7-pin machines requires an external controller and appropriate pilot controls.
Operating a water tank sprayer requires a higher-output control configuration and pilot-controlled machine setup.
