Here's a Genius idea. Why not allow people with older Caterpillar attachments run them on their Cat D-Series Skid Steer Loader? This adapter does just that. Just plug one end into your Cat D series or newer loader and plug the other into your attachment equipped with an 8 pin connector. Turn on your machine and get to work. Note: * Cat 14 Pin - 8 Pin outputs only 4 switched ports if ordered. This is because the older machines only provided 4 switched outputs.
There is a hidden jumper included inside the female connector with shrink tubing over the pin. Cut off the shrink tubing and you can insert the jumper into K or N to turn on your High Flow hydraulics in your CAT machine.
ASV Users: PLEASE READ - The 8 pin side of this product was designed for Caterpillar ABC Series attachments which use Pins ABCDEH. To use this on ASV Attachments you will need to move Pin H to G for full operation. We supply the tools in the kit and instructions are in our Video section of the web site.

Both ends of this product are built to factory pin specifications with original factory parts. We cannot guarantee that your machine was ordered with all of the factory controls, nor can we guarantee that your attachment is pinned accordingly as well. This is especially evident with auction attachments or second hand items bought on the internet. We include tools and instructions on moving pins to make everything align.
This adapter lets you run older Caterpillar 8-pin attachments on newer Cat D-Series (and later) loaders equipped with a 14-pin connector. One end plugs into your Cat D-Series machine, and the other connects to your 8-pin attachment so you can start working without rewiring the harness.
Older Caterpillar 8-pin systems only provided four switched control outputs. To remain compatible with those attachments, this adapter passes through four switched functions from the Cat 14-pin connector to the 8-pin attachment. This is a factory limitation of the original system, not a restriction added by the adapter.

Single-use pin extraction tools are included with the product so you can move pins such as H to G for ASV configurations or make other small adjustments. For frequent repinning or shop use, a commercial-duty Deutsch pin tool is recommended for faster and more durable performance.
The adapter follows factory Caterpillar ABC-series pin specifications. If your attachment was repinned by a previous owner or altered from stock, you may need to move pins to match the original layout so that all controls function correctly when used with this adapter.
