Haugen's skid steer auger adaptor converts between mixing and matching between the two most common auger shaft sizes — 2" Hex and 2-9/16" Round. Two configurations: 10921 (2" Hex drive unit → 2-9/16" Round auger collar: use your Hex drive with a Round auger bit) and 10923 (2-9/16" Round drive unit → 2" Hex auger collar: use your Round drive with a Hex auger bit). Allows operators to use auger bits from multiple shaft configurations without purchasing a new drive or a full set of matching bits.
| Part Number | Drive Unit Shaft | Auger Bit Collar |
|---|---|---|
| 10921 | 2" Hex | 2-9/16" Round |
| 10923 | 2-9/16" Round | 2" Hex |
| Specification | Value |
|---|---|
| Standard | Industry-standard 2" Hex and 2-9/16" Round shaft sizes |
| Use | Connects mismatched drive unit output to auger bit input |
| Compatibility | Haugen auger drives and bits; also compatible with most other manufacturers using same shaft standards |
| Origin | Made in USA |
Verify your auger drive unit's output shaft and your auger bit's input collar before ordering. The adapter converts one to the other — ensure you select the correct conversion direction (Drive → Collar).
Compatible with skid steer loaders and compact track loaders with Universal Quick Attach:
| Bobcat | Caterpillar | John Deere | Case |
| New Holland | Takeuchi | Kubota | Gehl |
See attachment and machine hydraulic specifications for aux circuit requirements.

Q: Which adapter do I need?
Identify your auger drive unit's OUTPUT shaft (the shaft that comes out of the drive unit, which the auger bit slides onto). Then identify your auger bit's INPUT collar (the receiver on the bit that accepts the drive shaft). If your drive is 2" Hex and your bit is 2-9/16" Round: order 10921. If your drive is 2-9/16" Round and your bit is 2" Hex: order 10923. |
|
Q: Are 2" Hex and 2-9/16" Round the most common US auger shaft sizes?
Yes — 2" Hex is the most common standard for skid steer auger systems in the US, used by Haugen, Bobcat, and most domestic manufacturers. 2-9/16" Round is the second common standard, used by some older equipment and John Deere-spec systems. These two standards cover the vast majority of skid steer auger drives and bits in commercial use. |
|
Q: Will this adapter handle the full torque of my auger drive?
Auger adapters are designed to transmit the torque output of standard skid steer auger drives. For heavy-duty or high-flow planetary drives (HAD series), verify with Haugen at 877-580-6218 that the adapter is rated for your specific drive's maximum torque output. The adapter is the mechanical weak point in the drive train when mismatched — do not use undersized adapters with high-torque drives. |
|
Q: Can I stack adapters (e.g., to go from one standard through two conversions)?
Stacking adapters adds length and reduces torque transmission efficiency. Use the most direct adapter configuration whenever possible. If you need to go from an unusual shaft standard to another, contact Haugen at 877-580-6218 — they may have a single-piece adapter for your specific combination. |
|
Q: Are Haugen adapters compatible with non-Haugen drives and bits?
The 2" Hex and 2-9/16" Round dimensions are industry standards, so Haugen adapters will fit other manufacturers' drives and bits that use the same standards. However, dimensional tolerances can vary slightly between manufacturers. Verify the fit before operating at full load. |
