Where the PM-SQ-1 uses a standard tungsten carbide tip suited for general earth and clay, the PM-SQ-3 uses a multi-facet tungsten design that concentrates cutting force to penetrate harder earth, compacted clay, frozen ground, asphalt, and soft fracturable rock.
