Haugen's skid steer mounting plates (weld-on series) are the same Universal Quick Attach mounting plates installed on every Haugen attachment from the factory — now available separately for fabricating custom attachments, replacing damaged plates, or adding SSQA compatibility to homemade or repurposed equipment. Available in four standard configurations (1/4" and 5/16" thickness, with or without window) plus a 3/8" heavy-duty series and a two-piece light-duty option. Not painted — ready to weld. Made in USA with a 1-year warranty.

These are Universal Skid Steer Quick Attach (SSQA) plates — compatible with all standard SSQA machines from Bobcat, Cat, Deere, Case, New Holland, Takeuchi, Kubota, Gehl, and others. Verify that the plate thickness and weld capacity match your attachment's structural requirements before fabrication.
Compatible with skid steer loaders and compact track loaders with Universal Quick Attach:
| Bobcat | Caterpillar | John Deere | Case |
| New Holland | Takeuchi | Kubota | Gehl |
See attachment and machine hydraulic specifications for aux circuit requirements.

Q: What thickness should I choose?
1/4" (MUP/MUPS): for lighter-duty custom attachments — pallet fork frames, small box blades, light bale spear frames — where the attachment's structural load does not require heavy plate. 5/16" (MHUP/MHUPS): the most commonly purchased for commercial fabrication — provides the right structural strength for most welded attachment builds including custom grapples, heavy blades, and working tool builds. 3/8" (MHUP-375/MHUPS-375): for the heaviest applications where maximum QA plate strength is required. Select based on the expected structural loads on the QA interface. |
|
Q: Should I choose Window or No Holes?
Window: provides a sightline from the cab through the plate to the attachment working area. Best for precision applications (grading, trenching, dozer blade work) where operator visibility of the ground directly below the attachment matters. No Holes / Solid: maximum structural integrity at the QA area. Best for high-impact applications (breaker attachments, heavy bucket work) where the plate material behind the QA is needed for welding or structural purposes. |
|
Q: What is the two-piece MCUP light-duty option?
The MCUP is a two-piece plate design at 1/4" thickness. It is described as light duty relative to the standard one-piece plates. Specific use cases include applications where the attachment frame geometry makes a one-piece plate difficult to weld, or for lighter service. Contact Haugen at 877-580-6218 for the MCUP's specific dimensions and weld configuration. |
|
Q: Are these the same plates installed on Haugen attachments from the factory?
Yes — per skidsteersdirect.com, these are the same weld-on plates that come standard with all Haugen attachments. Purchasing these plates for a custom build ensures dimensional compatibility with the machine's QA system is identical to a factory Haugen attachment. |
|
Q: Do I need to paint or treat the plate before welding?
No — the plates ship uncoated (bare steel) specifically so they can be welded without removing paint or coating first. After fabrication, apply primer and finish paint to protect against corrosion. The bare steel surface is ideal for direct welding without any surface prep. |
