• Vertical pivot to 35 degrees allows the jib to reach loads that are below or above the horizontal — a fixed-angle jib can only reach loads at the same elevation as the pivot point. The 0-35 degree vertical pivot allows the operator to angle the jib downward to pick from ground level, or upward to reach loads elevated above the hook starting position. This is critical in tight spaces where the forklift cannot reposition to change the load angle relative to the jib.
• Spring-assisted pivot reduces operator effort for frequent angle changes — the spring assist counterbalances the weight of the jib arm during pivot, so the operator can adjust the angle without the full arm weight working against them. On high-cycle operations this meaningfully reduces operator fatigue.
• MIJ-A-LP 3.5" pocket allows larger forklifts with thicker tines to use the jib without adapter plates — large industrial forklifts and wheel loader forklifts often have 3.5"-thick tines that are too thick for the standard 2.5" MIJ-A pocket. The MIJ-A-LP provides the 3.5" pocket for these larger machines, delivering the same jib performance without a pocket adapter.
• 5-ton (10,000 lb) Crosby hook provides 5× safety margin on the rigging hardware relative to the jib's 2,050 lb max capacity — using oversized rigging hardware increases safety factor on the component most likely to be inspected and stressed at load point. The 5-ton Crosby hook ensures the weakest point in the system is always the jib structure, not the hook.
