📘 Overview
The Haugen fork slot truss jib (MFTJ) is a telehandler jib boom that slips onto existing fork tines instead of mounting to the carriage, so no quick attach is involved. Two lengths, 12 ft and 15 ft, both rated 2,000 lbs, both fitted with a pintle hitch. Fork pockets are 3-1/2" x 7-1/2" and the keeper pins stay chained to the jib.
Some manufacturers list this style as a fork-mounted truss boom. It is the same idea: reach for setting trusses and long material, taken off the forks you already have on the machine.

🔧 Fork Slot or Quick Attach?
Haugen builds truss jibs both ways, and the difference is how they mount rather than what they do.
- Fork slot (this one). Slides onto the tines already on the machine. Nothing has to be ordered to match your carriage, and it moves between machines with compatible tines. Fit the chained keeper pins every time.
- Quick attach. Mounts to the carriage directly, CNC machined to your specific make, model and year. A more rigid connection, but it is machine-specific and has to be ordered as such.
If you run more than one telehandler, or you would rather not commit the jib to one carriage, the fork slot version is the flexible option. Both lengths here hold 2,000 lbs, so the choice between 12 and 15 feet is reach alone.
📐 You Will Need a Down-Rated Load Chart
A jib moves the load out in front of the carriage, which changes what the machine can safely lift. When any attachment is added to a forklift or telehandler, the machine manufacturer's down-rated capacity chart for that combination is what governs.
The jib's chart covers the jib alone. Your machine may be the more restrictive of the two at a given height and reach, and the lower limit always applies. Capacity also falls as a telehandler boom extends — work from the figures at the reach you will actually use.
⚠ Operating Rules — From Haugen's Manual
- Vertical lifting only. Never pull or drag a load with a jib.
- Disable the carriage's hydraulic tilt and swing functions before lifting, and position the mount so the load sits centred on the machine.
- Read the load chart for the position you are set to — not the one you used last time. Misreading the chart is how adjustable jibs get overloaded.
- Safety pins installed and secured with the cotter pin. Optional safety chains are an addition to the pins, never a substitute.
- Operator stays at the controls with the engine running while a load is on the jib.
- Nobody within ten feet of the fall zone, and never any part of yourself under a suspended load. Hard hats and steel toe boots nearby.
- Level, firm ground. Carry loads low and use tag lines to stop them swinging.
- Never lift people. Personnel lifting requires a certified work platform.
Before every use: check the hook, latch and shackle; confirm the pins are in and secured; look for excessive wear and cracked or broken welds; check the lifting holes for elongation; and make sure the load chart decal is present and legible.

Does this need a quick attach mount?
No. It slides onto the fork tines already on your telehandler. Pockets are 3-1/2" x 7-1/2", and the keeper pins are chained to the jib so they cannot be lost. Fit them before every lift.
12 ft or 15 ft?
Both are rated 2,000 lbs, so capacity is not the deciding factor — reach is. The 15 ft weighs 50 lbs more, which comes off your machine's available capacity.
How does it compare to the quick attach truss jib?
Same job, different mounting. This one fits any machine whose tines suit the pockets; the quick attach version is machined for a specific make, model and year and mounts to the carriage. Choose fork slot for flexibility across machines, quick attach for a dedicated fit.
What is the pintle hitch for?
It closes around a ring or eye rather than relying on a hook throat, which suits the slung and bundled loads a truss jib usually handles.
Do I need a down-rated load chart?
Yes. The load sits well forward of the carriage, so the machine manufacturer's down-rated chart for the combination applies and the lower limit governs.
Can I lift people with it?
No — material only, vertical lifting only.

Failure to Accept Products on Delivery
If you reject delivery of goods ordered from us, or otherwise fail to accept delivery of the goods, you agree to pay for all related and additional shipping fees, duties, taxes, restocking fees and other charges arising from such failure to accept delivery. Wrong Address:
Please review and ensure that you have entered the correct address. We are not responsible for non-delivery due to errors in the address that you provide. Returns
Returns
We offer returns and exchanges in limited circumstances as follows:
- In order to submit a return, you must contact us by email at support@eSkidsteer.com for us to confirm the items ordered are eligible for return or exchange;
- To be eligible for a return, you must commence the return process within 30 days of your item being delivered to you and:
- it must be unused, for example, once an item is hooked up to an attachment plate, hydraulic lines or electrical connection, it will not be eligible for return. Likewise, if your item shows any sign of use, which we may determine in our sole and absolute discretion, we will not accept the return;
- it must be in the same condition you received it in. You will be required to send us timestamped photos of the condition of your items as a condition to determine your eligibility for the return or exchange; and
- it must be returned in the same packaging or containers as it was received in.
We do not accept returns for products that were listed as final sale items at the time of purchase.
You agree to pay a 25% restocking fee on all returns, which we will deduct from any refund owing to you.
After the above referenced 30-day period, unfortunately we cannot offer you a refund or exchange, under any circumstances.
If your return or exchange is approved, we will provide instructions on shipping your items back to us or the applicable supplier via email.
You agree that you shall be responsible for all return shipping costs and related expenses.
Our shipping cost to you is not refundable.
You are also responsible for ensuring the items are carefully packaged for shipment and that risk of loss or damage during return shipping shall be your sole liability. You may wish to obtain insurance while the returned items are in transit.
Lost or Damaged
If the item is damaged when you receive it, do not sign the proof of delivery, and contact us immediately at support@eSkidsteer.com. If you sign the proof of delivery form, you cannot later claim the item was lost (i.e. not delivered) or damaged on arrival.
If the item is damaged on arrival take photos of the damage with a time stamp.
In the event the item is lost or damaged on arrival, we will assist you with filing a reimbursement claim directly with the applicable supplier or shipping company as applicable. However, you agree that as we are not the direct supplier of the items, it shall be your responsibility to pursue any claims with the applicable supplier in the event your lost or damaged item is not replaced by the supplier or carrier.
