The Haugen MFTJ is a fork slot telehandler truss jib rated at 2,000 lbs capacity and available in 12' (MFTJ 12) and 15' (MFTJ 15) lengths. Engineered and certified by a third-party Professional Engineer, these truss jibs slip directly onto fork tines using standard 3-1/2" x 7-1/2" fork pockets and are secured with chained keeper pins — no quick attach coupler required. A welded pintle hitch at the end provides the attachment point for rigging and lifting hardware. The all-steel truss structure is built without hydraulics or moving parts, eliminating maintenance concerns and giving operators a dependable, job-site-proven solution for extended lifting reach on telehandlers and forklifts. Made in the USA with a 1-year warranty.

The MFTJ uses a fork slot mounting system — it slips directly onto the fork tines of a telehandler, rough terrain forklift, or standard forklift. Standard fork pocket dimensions are 3-1/2" x 7-1/2" with open ends to fit any fork tine length. Custom pocket sizes are available on request. Keeper pins are chained to the jib and must be installed before use to secure the jib to the forks. The capacity rating is for the jib only — host machine capacity determines the actual lift limit; never exceed either rating.
Designed for telehandlers, rough terrain forklifts, and standard forklifts equipped with fork carriage. Standard fork pocket size 3-1/2" x 7-1/2" (custom sizes available on request). Compatible with:
| JLG | Genie | Manitou | Skytrak |
| Caterpillar | John Deere |
Compatibility is determined by fork size and capacity, not brand — verify your machine's rated capacity before use. Never exceed the capacity of either the jib or the host machine.

Q: What is the difference between the MFTJ 12 and MFTJ 15?
Both models have identical 2,000 lb rated capacity. The MFTJ 12 is 12 feet long and weighs 525 lbs; the MFTJ 15 is 15 feet long and weighs 575 lbs. Choose the longer model when maximum horizontal reach is required. Note that the jib's weight (525–575 lbs) counts against your machine's rated capacity at the load center — confirm your machine has sufficient capacity before use. |
|
Q: How is the jib secured to the forks — can it slide off?
The jib slips onto the fork tines through the fork pockets (3-1/2" x 7-1/2" standard size). Keeper pins are then inserted through the pocket at the heel of the fork tine to prevent the jib from sliding forward off the forks. These keeper pins are permanently chained to the jib so they cannot be misplaced on the job site. |
|
Q: Does the jib need hydraulics to operate?
No. The MFTJ is a simple fixed-length truss structure with no hydraulics or moving parts. Lifting is performed by the host machine's normal fork carriage raise/lower function. The jib itself only extends the horizontal reach — all vertical movement is via the host machine. |
|
Q: Is this jib compatible with my telehandler — what fork sizes fit?
The standard fork pocket is 3-1/2" x 7-1/2" — this fits the majority of standard forklift tine dimensions. If your telehandler has non-standard fork widths or heights, Haugen can build custom pocket sizes on request. Contact Haugen at 877-580-6218. |
|
Q: What is the pintle hitch at the end for?
The welded pintle hitch at the tip of the jib serves as the attachment point for rigging hardware — shackles, hooks, chain, or lifting slings connect here to lift the load. Pintle hitches are a standard rigging connection point compatible with most common lifting hardware. |
|
Q: Is this jib PE certified, and does it meet OSHA requirements?
Yes — Haugen fork slot truss jibs are engineered and certified by a third-party Professional Engineer. The certification covers rated capacity and design safety factors. A copy of the engineering certification is available upon request from Haugen Attachments. "Think Quality - Think Safety - Think Haugen." |
