Takeuchi Windshield Skid Steer TL8R2 Glass Replacement
If you're on this page, something already came through your windshield. The question isn't whether to replace it — it's whether to put the same glass back in and wait for it to happen again.
Factory glass is designed to break safely, not to survive what forestry and clearing work throws at a cab. This is the alternative. Same shape as your Takeuchi glass, same opening, same hardware, roughly 260 times the impact strength — and for most owners it's the last one they buy for that machine.

Not sure between two? Take the thicker. The price difference is small next to a day with the machine parked, and going up a grade costs nothing in fitment — a 1/2" panel seats in the opening exactly like a 1/4" one.
"Won't a thicker panel scratch?" It's the fair objection, and it's why we post-apply SUPERCOAT™ to both faces after forming rather than co-extruding it. Take steel wool to the surface and it wipes clean.

Installing Your Takeuchi Windshield
This is a glue-in cab, the same as it left the factory. No frame to unbolt, no gasket to seat — the panel bonds directly to the cab. Every panel ships prepped for it, edges and holes already machined, with a care sheet in the box.
You need the right adhesive — and it isn't the one at your local supplier
Standard urethane will not bond to a SUPERCOATED™ surface. It only bonds to bare polycarbonate, and on a coated panel it lets go. RTV silicone is weatherproofing only — it cannot bond the panel to the cab.
Using any other adhesive voids all warranty claims.

Takeuchi Windshield Warranty, Returns and Delivery
Ten-year warranty against manufacturing defects — breakage, coating failure, excessive haze and excessive yellowing. Scratching from use isn't covered, and nobody should tell you otherwise.
Returns. If the panel arrives defective, or we send the wrong part, we put it right at our cost. If you simply change your mind, the panel can be returned subject to a 25% restocking fee. That's the whole policy — no small print.
Open the carton before the driver leaves. Look the panel over, and if anything is damaged, write it on the carrier receipt before you sign. Photograph the packaging and the panel and send us the photos within 7 days — inside that window we replace it at our cost, no argument. Past it, the carrier won't accept the claim.

Which number should I be checking on my glass?
The number stamped in the corner of your original panel. This listing replaces #668660152 & #0668600249. Manufacturers reuse cab designs across model years and series, so the number is more reliable than the badge on the machine.
Can I fit this myself, or does it need a shop?
Most owners do it themselves. It's a glue-in, so there's no frame to unbolt — clean the opening, lay the adhesive, position the panel, clamp it and let it cure. A second pair of hands makes lining it up easier.
How long before I can run the machine again?
Cure time is set by the adhesive, not the panel — follow the time printed on the tube and leave it clamped. Rushing the bond is the single thing most likely to turn a good install into a leak.
What happens if I use regular windshield urethane?
It won't hold. Standard urethane bonds to bare polycarbonate, not to a SUPERCOAT™ surface, so on a coated panel it lets go. It also voids the warranty.
Will a 1/2" panel still fit my cab?
Yes. We mill the perimeter back to OEM glass thickness, so the thicker panel seats in the opening exactly as the original did.
How do I clean a Lexan polycarbonate windshield?
Mild soap and water with a soft cloth, then dry it off. Avoid abrasive cleaners, squeegees and power washers — those mar the coating, and coating damage from the wrong cleaner isn't a warranty claim. The care sheet lists approved products.
Will it fog or go yellow?
Yellowing is slow and UV-driven, which is why the warranty names excessive yellowing specifically. For fogging, treat it as you would glass — keep the cab vented and the panel clean.
Is it worth it over another sheet of factory glass?
Depends what broke the first one. If it was a stone off the haul road, glass is fine. If it was brush, demolition debris or anything under tension, you'd be buying the same outcome again — and paying the labour twice.

Failure to Accept Products on Delivery

Can I ship to multiple addresses?

Please review and ensure that you have entered the correct address. We are not responsible for non-delivery due to errors in the address that you provide. If an order is returned due to an incorrect address, we will refund the original order (excluding the shipping fee) and ask that you re-submit your order.

Returns
Returns
We offer returns and exchanges in limited circumstances as follows:
- In order to submit a return, you must contact us by email at support@eSkidsteer.com for us to confirm the items ordered are eligible for return or exchange;
- To be eligible for a return, you must commence the return process within 30 days of your item being delivered to you and:
- it must be unused, for example, once an item is hooked up to an attachment plate, hydraulic lines or electrical connection, it will not be eligible for return. Likewise, if your item shows any sign of use, which we may determine in our sole and absolute discretion, we will not accept the return;
- it must be in the same condition you received it in. You will be required to send us timestamped photos of the condition of your items as a condition to determine your eligibility for the return or exchange; and
- it must be returned in the same packaging or containers as it was received in.
We do not accept returns for products that were listed as final sale items at the time of purchase.
You agree to pay a 25% restocking fee on all returns, which we will deduct from any refund owing to you.
After the above referenced 30-day period, unfortunately we cannot offer you a refund or exchange, under any circumstances.
If your return or exchange is approved, we will provide instructions on shipping your items back to us or the applicable supplier via email.
You agree that you shall be responsible for all return shipping costs and related expenses.
Our shipping cost to you is not refundable.
You are also responsible for ensuring the items are carefully packaged for shipment and that risk of loss or damage during return shipping shall be your sole liability. You may wish to obtain insurance while the returned items are in transit.
Lost or Damaged
If the item is damaged when you receive it, do not sign the proof of delivery, and contact us immediately at support@eSkidsteer.com. If you sign the proof of delivery form, you cannot later claim the item was lost (i.e. not delivered) or damaged on arrival.
If the item is damaged on arrival take photos of the damage with a time stamp.
In the event the item is lost or damaged on arrival, we will assist you with filing a reimbursement claim directly with the applicable supplier or shipping company as applicable. However, you agree that as we are not the direct supplier of the items, it shall be your responsibility to pursue any claims with the applicable supplier in the event your lost or damaged item is not replaced by the supplier or carrier.
