📘 Overview

Haugen's heavy-duty wheel loader snow pusher is available in two depth profiles — 30" Tall (96"-144" widths) and 40" Tall (120"-192" widths) — with rubber or steel reversible cutting edges and optional spill guards. AR 400 skid shoes, 3/8" heavy-duty side plates, bolt-on bucket mounts (convertible to other QA). The 30" series covers mid-size loaders; the 40" series is built for large wheel loaders covering major commercial lots and municipal routes. Made in USA with a 1-year warranty.

⚙️ Key Features

  • 30" Tall series: 96", 120", 144" widths
  • 40" Tall series: 120", 144", 168", 192" widths
  • Rubber edge: 1.5" x 10" reversible (RB models)
  • Steel edge: 1/2" x 6" reversible (SB models)
  • Optional spill guard (30" series: 96" and 120" widths)
  • AR 400 skid shoes
  • 3/8" heavy-duty side plates
  • Bolt-on bucket mounts — convertible to other QA
  • Made in USA | 1-year warranty

🔑 Benefits

  • 40" tall box eliminates the windrow spill-over that reduces 30" pusher efficiency on deep snow — when pushing heavy or deep snow accumulations, a 30" box fills to the brim and begins to spill over the sides and top, reducing effective payload per push and increasing push count per lot. At 40" tall, the box contains deeper accumulations without spillover, reducing the number of pushes needed to clear a large lot in heavy snowfall conditions.
  • Reversible edges extend service life to double that of single-sided edges — both the rubber (1.5"×10") and steel (1/2"×6") cutting edges are reversible. When the leading face wears, the edge is flipped to present a fresh cutting surface, doubling its service life without purchasing a replacement edge. For a commercial contractor making 8-10 hours per storm, reversible edges significantly reduce consumable costs per season.
  • Optional spill guard prevents side spillage on angled or sloped surfaces — the optional spill guard (available on HSP 30-96 and HSP 30-120) is a wing or panel that extends the box height on the sides to contain material that would otherwise spill out during turns or on cambered surfaces. This is particularly useful on parking lots with crown drainage where the box tilts during pushing.
  • AR 400 skid shoes outlast mild steel skid shoes by 3-5x in normal commercial clearing — skid shoes contact the pavement directly and wear continuously during use. AR 400 (400 BHN abrasion resistant) provides dramatically longer service life than structural steel (120-140 BHN) skid shoes, reducing shoe replacement frequency on machines doing 200+ hours per season.

🔗 Attachment Compatibility

Bolt-on bucket mounts are standard and can be replaced with other quick attach mounts to fit your specific wheel loader coupler. Contact Haugen at 877-580-6218 if your machine uses a non-standard coupler. Verify your machine's rated bucket force and available counterweight for the appropriate pusher width.

🚜 Machine Compatibility

Designed for wheel loaders. Bolt-on bucket mounts standard; can be changed to other quick attach mounts:

Caterpillar Komatsu John Deere Volvo
Case New Holland

No hydraulics required. Spill guard option uses no hydraulics. Mount style can be changed — contact Haugen at 877-580-6218 for your machine's coupler.

❓ FAQs

Q: Should I choose rubber (RB) or steel (SB) cutting edge?

Rubber edge (RB): preferred for surfaces with pavement irregularities, decorative pavers, speed bumps, or any surface where the scraping force should not damage the ground surface. Rubber edges conform to surface variations, maintaining scraping contact while protecting the surface. Scraping efficiency is slightly lower than steel on hard, flat pavement but far more surface-friendly. Steel edge (SB): provides maximum scraping efficiency on flat, hard asphalt or concrete without surface sensitivity. Better for industrial yards, runways, or surfaces where ground contact marks are not a concern.

Q: What is the difference between 30" and 40" tall?

The 30" series is built for mid-size wheel loaders (Cat 930-938, Komatsu WA250-320, Volvo L70-L90) used on mid-size commercial lots. The 40" series is built for larger wheel loaders (Cat 950-966, Komatsu WA380-WA500, Volvo L110-L150) used on large parking lots, airports, and municipal routes where the larger box height reduces spillover in heavy snow and maximizes payload per push at scale.

Q: When should I order the spill guard option?

Order the spill guard on HSP30-96 or HSP30-120 if you regularly push wet, heavy snow on sloped or cambered surfaces where the snow tends to spill over the box sides during turns or lateral pushes. The spill guard adds a wing panel that contains the snow pile within the box. Not available on 144"+ widths or 40" series.

Q: Can the bolt-on bucket mounts be changed?

Yes — the bolt-on bucket mounts can be removed and replaced with other quick attach coupler styles to fit your specific wheel loader. Contact Haugen at 877-580-6218 with your machine's coupler type for available mount options.

Q: Are these pushers for skid steers?

The HSP30/40 series is designed for wheel loaders. For skid steer snow pushers, Haugen offers a separate skid steer-specific series (HSP-SKD). The wheel loader series uses bucket-mount attachment rather than SSQA.
