The Haugen Skid Steer Tiller Attachment (Rotary Tiller) prepares seedbeds, breaks up compacted fill, and tills through tough soil in forward and reverse — available in three sizes: HST 44-Mini SKD (44" tilling, 54" overall, 350 lbs, 22 tines), HST 68 (68" tilling, 79" overall, 590 lbs, 36 tines), and HST 76 (76" tilling, 87" overall, 630 lbs, 40 tines). The tiller uses double-edge replaceable tines for extended service life and a tilling depth of 0–6" adjustable via a 1/2" x 4" skid shoe that also protects the motor. Offset to the right-hand side of the machine to cover wheel tracks. Built-in wire guard protects the motor and drive area. Universal Quick Attach with hoses and couplers included. Made in the USA with a 1-year warranty.

HST 44-Mini SKD: designed for mini skid steers using a universal mini skid steer quick attach. HST 68 and HST 76: use standard Universal Quick Attach for full-size skid steers. Both require an auxiliary hydraulic circuit (18–35 GPM typical range). Hoses and couplers are included with all models. Verify your machine's auxiliary hydraulic flow rate with Haugen if needed.
Compatible with skid steer loaders and compact track loaders equipped with a Universal Quick Attach system, including:
| Bobcat | Caterpillar | John Deere | Case |
| New Holland | Takeuchi | Kubota | Gehl |
Compatibility is determined by mount type, not brand — confirm your machine's quick attach configuration before ordering.

Q: Which model should I choose for a full-size skid steer?
The HST 68 (68" tilling, 590 lbs) is the most popular choice for mid-size to full-size skid steers — the 68" tilling width covers most skid steer wheelbases and the 590 lb weight works on machines with standard lift capacity. The HST 76 (76" tilling, 630 lbs) is for larger, higher-capacity machines where additional coverage width is needed. |
|
Q: Is the HST 44-Mini SKD only for mini skid steers?
Yes — the HST 44-Mini SKD is specifically designed for mini skid steer loaders. It uses a mini skid steer mount and is sized (44" / 350 lbs) for the lower hydraulic flow and lift capacity of compact machines. The HST 68 and HST 76 are for full-size skid steers. |
|
Q: What does "double-edge tines" mean and why does it matter?
Double-edge tines have a working cutting edge on both sides of the tine rather than just one. When the forward-facing edge wears down, the tine can be flipped to present a fresh edge, effectively doubling the tine's useful life. This cuts tine replacement cost significantly on abrasive or rocky soils. |
|
Q: What is the maximum and minimum tilling depth?
The depth range is 0 to 6 inches, adjusted by the 1/2" x 4" skid shoe position. The skid shoe rests on the ground surface and limits how deep the tines can penetrate — raising or lowering the shoe sets the working depth. The shoe also protects the hydraulic motor from ground contact during depth adjustment. |
|
Q: What hydraulic flow rate does this tiller require?
The Haugen HST series tillers typically operate in the 18–35 GPM range for full-size models (HST 68 and HST 76). Contact Haugen at 877-580-6218 to confirm exact flow requirements for your machine's hydraulic output. Under-flowing the tiller motor will result in reduced performance or tine drag. |
|
Q: Is this attachment made in the USA?
Yes — all Haugen Attachments products are made in the USA at Marv Haugen Enterprises in Casselton, North Dakota. "Think Quality - Think Safety - Think Haugen." |
