The Haugen HCB is a skid steer concrete bucket that lets you transport and place wet concrete in hard-to-reach areas with accuracy and reduced spillage. The 60" wide bucket holds 1/2 yard of concrete and is available in two chute configurations: the HCB open chute (manual gate operated with a lever by a ground assistant) and the HCB-H hydraulic chute (operator-controlled from inside the cab with included hoses and flat-face couplers). The smaller bucket width and high back height allow work in tighter spaces than larger concrete hoppers. Compatible with all skid steer loaders via the universal quick attach system. Made in the USA with a 1-year warranty.

The Haugen HCB uses the Universal Quick Attach System and is compatible with all standard skid steer quick attach plates. The hydraulic chute (HCB-H) requires one auxiliary hydraulic circuit with flat-face couplers. Hoses and couplers are included with the HCB-H.
Compatible with skid steer loaders and compact track loaders equipped with a Universal Quick Attach system, including:
| Bobcat | Caterpillar | John Deere | Case |
| New Holland | Takeuchi | Kubota | Gehl |
Compatibility is determined by mount type, not brand — confirm your machine's quick attach configuration before ordering.

Q: Should I choose the open chute (HCB) or hydraulic chute (HCB-H)?
Choose the HCB (open chute) if a ground assistant will always be available to operate the lever gate during pours — this is the lower-cost option. Choose the HCB-H (hydraulic) if you want single-operator pour control from inside the cab, which is the safer option on job sites where a second person isn't always available to operate the chute gate. |
|
Q: What is the capacity and is 1/2 yard enough for typical concrete work?
1/2 yard (0.5 yd³) of wet concrete weighs approximately 1,800–2,000 lbs. This is an appropriate size for skid steer lift capacity. For larger pours, multiple trips are made from a stationary concrete truck or mixer. This bucket is designed for placement access, not for high-volume replacement of a concrete hopper. |
|
Q: Can this be used to mix concrete, or only to transport it?
The HCB is a transport and dispensing bucket only — it does not mix concrete. Concrete must be pre-mixed (from a truck, mixer, or hopper) and loaded into the bucket. For on-site mixing, Haugen also offers a separate concrete mixer attachment. |
|
Q: Does the hydraulic chute (HCB-H) work with standard skid steer auxiliary hydraulics?
Yes — the HCB-H uses a standard single-acting auxiliary hydraulic circuit with flat-face couplers. The hoses and flat-face couplers are included with the HCB-H so no additional hydraulic hardware needs to be sourced separately. |
|
Q: How is concrete loaded into the bucket?
The bucket is filled from the top — drive under a concrete truck chute, position the bucket, and fill. The open top design accepts direct pour from a truck chute or a concrete hopper attachment. Once filled, drive to the pour location and open the chute gate to dispense. |
|
Q: Is this attachment made in the USA?
Yes — all Haugen Attachments products are manufactured in the USA at Marv Haugen Enterprises, Casselton, North Dakota. All products include a 1-year manufacturer warranty. "Think Quality - Think Safety - Think Haugen." |
