The expanded metal deck gives a wider standing area than a boom lift basket, and the modular guardrail system with self-closing spring gates and lanyard tie-down points is what makes this forklift man basket safe to work from. A 5/16" safety chain assembly, part 1000-0117, fits the 1204C, 1206C, 1208C and 1210C and wraps the fork carriage as a secondary restraint. Complete guardrail assemblies and individual rails, gates, hinges and latches are available for every platform size.

Mounting is universal slip-on-the-forks. The platform fits any straight-mast or extended-reach forklift with a carriage 48 inches or wider running forks 48 inches long, and accepts forks up to 7 inches wide and 2 3/4 inches thick. A Quick-Tach version is available and must be used if the machine runs forks longer than 48 inches. Before lifting personnel, confirm your machine manufacturer permits personnel lifting with a work platform, fit the retaining pins and safety chain, and on straight-mast machines install the 1250 mast protection screen.

Which telehandler man basket size should I choose?
The Star Industries work platform for telehandlers comes in four sizes. The 1204C at 4 ft x 4 ft suits one worker with tools for electrical, HVAC and light installation. The 1206C at 4 ft x 6 ft takes two workers and tools. The 1208C at 4 ft x 8 ft carries a crew with materials. The 1210C at 4 ft x 9 ft 8 in is the long-deck option for glazing, cladding and panel work. All four are rated 1,000 lb.
How much does the work platform weigh, and why does it matter?
Empty weight is 346 lb for the 1204C, 411 lb for the 1206C, 498 lb for the 1208C and 629 lb for the 1210C. That weight comes off your usable capacity: subtract the platform, the occupants and their tools from the machine rated capacity at the height and reach you are working at, and confirm the result is within the load chart.
Does the Star Industries work platform need a mast protection screen?
On a straight-mast forklift, yes. The inner mast moves alongside the platform during lift, so a mast protection screen is required to keep personnel clear of it. Order model 1250, which measures 3.5 ft x 7 ft. Extended-reach telehandlers with no moving mast beside the platform do not need the screen.
Can the guardrails be removed for transport?
Yes. The guardrail on the Star Industries work platform can be removed and laid flat inside the platform for travel, which keeps the machine within normal height rather than carrying an overheight load. The rails are modular, so a damaged section is replaced on its own instead of replacing the whole guardrail.

What if a guardrail or gate gets damaged?
Individual components are replaceable rather than the whole platform. Top rails and mid rails are sized per platform (for example 1204C-071 top rail and 1204C-072 mid rail), and the gate complete, gate hinge, latch handle, latch spring, centre post and gate posts are all separate parts. Complete guardrail assemblies are also available per size.
Is a safety chain included with the work platform?
A 5/16 inch safety chain assembly, part 1000-0117, is the correct chain for the 1204C, 1206C, 1208C and 1210C and wraps the fork carriage as a secondary restraint. Add it to your cart with the platform if you do not already have one on the machine.

Returns
We offer returns and exchanges in limited circumstances as follows:
- In order to submit a return, you must contact us by email at support@eSkidsteer.com for us to confirm the items ordered are eligible for return or exchange;
- To be eligible for a return, you must commence the return process within 30 days of your item being delivered to you and:
- it must be unused, for example, once an item is hooked up to an attachment plate, hydraulic lines or electrical connection, it will not be eligible for return. Likewise, if your item shows any sign of use, which we may determine in our sole and absolute discretion, we will not accept the return;
- it must be in the same condition you received it in. You will be required to send us timestamped photos of the condition of your items as a condition to determine your eligibility for the return or exchange; and
- it must be returned in the same packaging or containers as it was received in.
We do not accept returns for products that were listed as final sale items at the time of purchase.
You agree to pay a 25% restocking fee on all returns, which we will deduct from any refund owing to you.
After the above referenced 30-day period, unfortunately we cannot offer you a refund or exchange, under any circumstances.
If your return or exchange is approved, we will provide instructions on shipping your items back to us or the applicable supplier via email.
You agree that you shall be responsible for all return shipping costs and related expenses.
Our shipping cost to you is not refundable.
You are also responsible for ensuring the items are carefully packaged for shipment and that risk of loss or damage during return shipping shall be your sole liability. You may wish to obtain insurance while the returned items are in transit.
Lost or Damaged
If the item is damaged when you receive it, do not sign the proof of delivery, and contact us immediately at support@eSkidsteer.com. If you sign the proof of delivery form, you cannot later claim the item was lost (i.e. not delivered) or damaged on arrival.
If the item is damaged on arrival take photos of the damage with a time stamp.
In the event the item is lost or damaged on arrival, we will assist you with filing a reimbursement claim directly with the applicable supplier or shipping company as applicable. However, you agree that as we are not the direct supplier of the items, it shall be your responsibility to pursue any claims with the applicable supplier in the event your lost or damaged item is not replaced by the supplier or carrier.
