This Pengo rock bit auger pilot — the RRP 1.75 SQ, stocked as PG-137208 — is the centre pilot on the Pengo Severe Rock Ripper auger. At 15 lb it is by far the heaviest pilot Pengo builds, rated 5 and 6 on their soil chart for gravel and fracturable rock. It mounts into the auger head through a 1.75" square shank, so fitment follows the Severe Rock Ripper head rather than the machine quick attach behind it. Nuts and bolts are included.

Why a Rock Pilot Is Not a Heavier Dirt Pilot
- The pilot takes the first hit. In rock the centre does the hardest work, and a dirt pilot is destroyed doing it.
- Square shank, not threaded. A square shank pilot bit transmits rock-drilling torque in a way a light threaded mounting cannot.
- Carbide teeth included. Bought individually it arrives with four Strata SR-76SW teeth, so the pilot is ready to work.
- Protecting the head is the point. A worn pilot lets the auger head take impact it was never meant to absorb.

The Severe Rock Ripper Wear Set
The pilot is one half of the SRR cutting set. The teeth around the head are the S-RL08 conical rock teeth as standard, upgradeable to SR-76SW Strata carbide. Pilot and teeth wear at different rates, so inspect both rather than assuming one tells you about the other. Worn teeth come off with the C123 puller, or the C30 puller if you have moved up to Strata.
For dirt rather than rock, the same drive runs an Aggressor auger with a TriFlow 350 pilot — a 5 lb pilot rated 1-2-3 rather than a 15 lb one rated 5-6. If you only occasionally hit rock, the BoRH bolt-on rock head converts the Aggressor instead of running a second dedicated auger.

The RRP 1.75 SQ mounts into the Pengo Severe Rock Ripper auger head via its 1.75" square shank. That auger mounts through a Pengo auger drive to a skid steer, mini excavator or backhoe quick attach, so the pilot is specified by the auger rather than by the machine.

Why is it so much heavier than a dirt pilot?
At 15 lb it is roughly three times a TriFlow 350 dirt pilot. Rock drilling puts the hardest load on the centre of the auger, so the rock pilot is built accordingly.
Does it come with teeth?
Yes. When purchased individually the RRP 1.75 SQ ships with four Strata SR-76SW carbide teeth. Nuts and bolts are also included.
What ground is it rated for?
Pengo rates it 5 and 6 on their soil chart — gravel and fracturable rock.
Can I use a TriFlow pilot on a rock auger?
No. The TriFlow 350 family is rated 1 through 5 and uses a different mounting. For an auger pilot bit rock application, the Severe Rock Ripper takes the RRP 1.75 SQ.
Do I need an adapter?
Only where your head requires one. Pengo supplies the 1.75SQ adapter as part 137203 for that case.

Returns
Returns
We offer returns and exchanges in limited circumstances as follows:
- In order to submit a return, you must contact us by email at support@eSkidsteer.com for us to confirm the items ordered are eligible for return or exchange;
- To be eligible for a return, you must commence the return process within 30 days of your item being delivered to you and:
- it must be unused, for example, once an item is hooked up to an attachment plate, hydraulic lines or electrical connection, it will not be eligible for return. Likewise, if your item shows any sign of use, which we may determine in our sole and absolute discretion, we will not accept the return;
- it must be in the same condition you received it in. You will be required to send us timestamped photos of the condition of your items as a condition to determine your eligibility for the return or exchange; and
- it must be returned in the same packaging or containers as it was received in.
We do not accept returns for products that were listed as final sale items at the time of purchase.
You agree to pay a 25% restocking fee on all returns, which we will deduct from any refund owing to you.
After the above referenced 30-day period, unfortunately we cannot offer you a refund or exchange, under any circumstances.
If your return or exchange is approved, we will provide instructions on shipping your items back to us or the applicable supplier via email.
You agree that you shall be responsible for all return shipping costs and related expenses.
Our shipping cost to you is not refundable.
You are also responsible for ensuring the items are carefully packaged for shipment and that risk of loss or damage during return shipping shall be your sole liability. You may wish to obtain insurance while the returned items are in transit.
Lost or Damaged
If the item is damaged when you receive it, do not sign the proof of delivery, and contact us immediately at support@eSkidsteer.com. If you sign the proof of delivery form, you cannot later claim the item was lost (i.e. not delivered) or damaged on arrival.
If the item is damaged on arrival take photos of the damage with a time stamp.
In the event the item is lost or damaged on arrival, we will assist you with filing a reimbursement claim directly with the applicable supplier or shipping company as applicable. However, you agree that as we are not the direct supplier of the items, it shall be your responsibility to pursue any claims with the applicable supplier in the event your lost or damaged item is not replaced by the supplier or carrier.
