Description
This Roadrunner skid steer grader attachment is the hydraulic member of the C-Series (CH Series): the lead cutting edge is set from the cab on a hydraulic cylinder while manual screw adjusters trim the trailing edge, so depth can be changed mid-pass instead of stopping to wind a handle. It works across a 2" below to 2" above grade range on a depth gauge marked in 1/2" steps, and independent left-right adjustment is what lets it cut and hold a crown on a gravel road. There are five choices to make: blade width (72", 84" or 96"); Single Hydraulic or Dual Hydraulic with a 14-pin wiring harness, which adds independent electro-hydraulic control of both sides; a Standard Smooth Blade or the Serrated Blade for hard-packed gravel; whether to add the bolster wheel kit; and the mount — Universal Skid Steer Quick Attach, a Category 1 & 2 three-point hitch, or the Combo carrying both. The optional bolster wheel kit adds a pair of pneumatic caster wheels that lift the front of the grader about 1/2" off the ground so it spreads new material without gouging. Roadrunner builds it in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania and backs it for 36 months.

| Choice | Options | How to decide |
|---|---|---|
| Blade width | 72", 84" or 96" | Match the grader to the machine — wider than the tires or tracks, and within the 110 HP / 3,000 lb rating |
| Hydraulic Options | Single Hydraulic, or Dual Hydraulic W/ 14-pin wiring harness | Single sets the lead edge from the cab. Dual adds independent control of both sides plus the wiring harness, and is the configuration for crowning on the move and for fine grading work |
| Optional Cutting Edge | Standard Smooth Blade, or Serrated Blade | The Serrated Blade is the choice for hard-packed gravel surfaces that a smooth edge rides over. The Standard Smooth Blade suits loose material and finish passes |
| Optional Wheel Kit | No, Thanks — or Yes, Please! | The bolster wheel kit adds pneumatic caster wheels on a bridge and tube frame. Choose it for spreading new material and for smaller wheeled skid steers, where it stops the front of the grader dipping into soft spots |
| Mount Options | Universal Skid Steer Quick Attach Mount, 3-Point (Cat 1 & 2), or Combo (Universal Skid Steer and 3-Point) | Combo ships both interfaces on one grader for operators who run a loader and a tractor |
This grader is offered in two mounting configurations — select the one that matches your machine:
Universal Skid Steer Quick Attach (SSQA) — fits skid steer loaders and compact track loaders with a standard universal quick attach coupler, including:
Category 1 & 2 three-point hitch — fits compact and utility tractors. Roadrunner's own manual also covers a tractor front-end loader fitted with a quick attach adapter.
Hydraulic and machine requirements. The CH Series needs an auxiliary hydraulic circuit rated to a maximum of 3,000 PSI; one male and one female flat-face skid-steer-style quick disconnect ship with the grader. No case drain line is specified in Roadrunner's owner's manual. The grader has no hydraulic reservoir of its own, so it draws from the machine's oil while the cylinder and hoses are first charged — check the machine's oil level with the blades in the +2 position. The carrier must have ROPS and a seat belt, and Roadrunner rates the C-Series for machines up to 110 HP or a 3,000 lb lift capacity; an oversized machine can damage the grader.
If you choose Dual Hydraulic. The 14-pin electrical connection is what carries the joystick control to both cylinders. Roadrunner publishes 14-pin pin-out diagrams for these machine brands:
Set the machine's auxiliary hydraulics to continuous flow, then use the joystick buttons to run the up and down function on either side. If the 14-pin connector ships loose, Roadrunner's wiring diagrams give the pin positions for your machine.
Compatibility is determined by mount type and hydraulic capability, not by machine brand — confirm your quick attach configuration, or your hitch category, and your auxiliary circuit before ordering. Everything needed to confirm fitment is on this page — add the grader to your cart to see delivered pricing for your address.
Before you sign for delivery: inspect the crate and the grader with the driver and note any damage on the Bill of Lading before signing. A signed clean Bill of Lading makes a freight damage claim very difficult to win. Photograph anything that looks wrong and email the photos to support@eskidsteer.com.
Roadrunner specifies an auxiliary hydraulic system with a maximum 3,000 PSI pressure rating for the CH Series grader. Because the circuit drives a depth-adjustment cylinder rather than a motor, no case drain line is specified in the owner's manual and no minimum GPM is published — a standard auxiliary circuit operates it. On the Dual Hydraulic configuration an adjustable flow control unit, factory set to position 3, is used to match cylinder speed to your machine's flow. One male and one female flat-face skid steer style quick disconnect are supplied with the grader.
Single Hydraulic sets the lead cutting edge from the cab and keeps a manual screw adjuster on the trailing edge — enough for driveway and lane maintenance where depth is set once per pass. Dual Hydraulic adds a second cylinder and a 14-pin wiring harness so both sides are controlled independently from the seat, which is what you want for crowning on the move, fine grading site pads and parking areas, and any job where the cut changes constantly.
Not directly. Roadrunner's 14-pin wiring packet carries a specific note for Bobcat: a machine with a 7-pin connector needs a 7-pin to 14-pin controller adapter before the dual hydraulic CH Series can be driven from the joystick. Roadrunner publishes 14-pin diagrams for ASV, Bobcat, Case, Caterpillar, JCB/Volvo, John Deere, Kubota, New Holland, Takeuchi and Wacker Neuson. eskidsteer.com stocks the Skid Steer Genius range of 7-pin to 14-pin controllers and adapters — message us on chat with your machine make, model and year and we will confirm which one your machine needs. The Single Hydraulic CH Series has no electrical connection at all and is unaffected.
The dual hydraulic CH Series has an adjustable flow control unit inside the valve cover box. Roadrunner sets it to position 3 when the grader is assembled and tested, and it is meant to be re-set to suit the GPM of the machine it ends up on — loosen the knob and rotate it to the position that gives smooth cylinder movement. If the cylinders do not move at all, check that the auxiliary hydraulics are set to continuous flow and that the couplers and 14-pin connector are fully seated.
The Standard Smooth Blade is the default edge on the CH Series and finishes loose material cleanly. The optional Serrated Blade is the one to select for hard-packed gravel: a smooth edge tends to ride over a compacted surface, while the serrated edge bites in and breaks it up so the box can carry it. Both use the same 5/8" plow bolt pattern, so an edge can be swapped later.
The Roadrunner bolster wheel kit adds two pneumatic caster wheels on a bridge and tube frame at the front of the grader. With the kit installed the tires rest on the ground and the front of the grader sits about 1/2" clear, so it spreads new material evenly instead of dipping into low areas and gouging them. It is worth adding if you spread fresh stone, or if you run a smaller wheeled skid steer that struggles to hold the grader steady. It is not needed for cutting into an existing packed surface.
The CH Series grader adjusts from 2" below grade to 2" above grade, using the hydraulic cylinder on the lead edge together with the manual adjustment on the trailing edge. A depth gauge on the grader shows blade height relative to grade, with indicator marks at 1/2" spacing so a setting can be repeated.
The CH Series grader mounts to any skid steer or compact track loader with a Universal Skid Steer Quick Attach coupler, or to a Category 1 or Category 2 tractor three-point hitch with the three-point mount option. Roadrunner rates the C-Series for machines up to 110 HP or a 3,000 lb lift capacity, and requires the carrier to have ROPS and a seat belt. Machines above that rating are specifically excluded by the owner's manual.
Choose a CH Series width greater than your machine so the tires or tracks always run on ground the grader has already finished: the 72" model is 76" overall, the 84" is 88" and the 96" is 100". A common sizing rule among grader dealers is to allow at least 12" more overall width than the machine's tire or track width. Keep the choice inside the 110 HP / 3,000 lb machine rating — the 96" belongs on a full-size loader.
Yes. Select Combo (Universal Skid Steer and 3-Point) and the CH Series ships with both the SSQA plate and the Category 1 & 2 three-point tower fitted to the one grader. If you already own a C-Series grader with a single mount, Roadrunner's three-point attachment kit bolts on afterwards — no welding is involved.
Level the CH Series skid bars on the ground, then set the right-hand side of the cutting blade lower than the left so material flows toward the centre of the road; the depth indicator marks are spaced at 1/2". Run the loader hydraulics in float so the skid bars follow the ground, and pack the surface after grading — material left unpacked moves straight back into ripples and tire channels. On a curve, bank the surface in the direction of travel instead of crowning it.
The Roadrunner CH Series works on a Bobcat, but it is not Bobcat-specific. The grader is built on the Universal Skid Steer Quick Attach standard, so the same grader attachment for skid steer loaders fits Bobcat, Caterpillar, John Deere, Case, New Holland, Takeuchi, Kubota and Gehl machines alike — fitment follows the coupler, not the badge. The one Bobcat-specific detail is electrical: if you choose Dual Hydraulic and your Bobcat has a 7-pin connector, a 7-pin to 14-pin controller adapter is required.
A box grader such as the CH Series holds material between a serrated front blade, a smooth rear blade and full side panels, so it carries loose stone forward and releases it into low spots — the mechanism that actually fills potholes and removes washboarding. An angled grader blade casts material to one side, which suits ditching and snow work. For driveway, lane and gravel road maintenance the box design finishes the surface in fewer passes.
Roadrunner's schedule is: every 8 hours check that retainer clips and pins are in place; every 40 hours inspect the height adjustment linkage for wear and debris, grease the manual height adjustment thread, and inspect the blades and skid bars; annually torque all fasteners, inspect the hydraulic cylinder and hoses for damage, wash the grader and inspect the frame for cracking. Hose saver springs are fitted from the factory to stop the hoses pinching.
Roadrunner Equipment warrants the CH Series grader against defects in workmanship or materials for 36 months from the date of sale, lease or rental. Excluded are normal wear items — bearings, hoses and ground-engaging parts including blades, cutting edges and skid shoes — along with damage from misuse, improper setup or unapproved modification. Welding on the grader without Roadrunner's approval voids it.
