📘 Overview

Haugen tractor bucket forks (Hook Over Bucket / HOB Forks) convert any tractor loader, tractor loader backhoe, or wheel loader bucket into a functional pallet fork system — without removing the bucket or adding a quick-attach. U-shaped steel brackets are welded to the top of the bucket; the forks hang from a steel shaft that sits inside those brackets. The vertical forks rest against the bucket face and cutting edge to resist forward tipping. The tractor operator attaches and detaches the forks by simply curling the bucket to pick up or drop off the shaft. 10 SKUs cover a wide range of bucket openings and fork capacities, from the compact H45-48 (1,500 lbs, 48" tines) to the heavy H280-72 (28,000 lbs, 72" tines). Made to order — confirm your bucket width and opening before ordering. Made in USA.

⚙️ Key Features

  • No quick-attach system required — attaches directly to any bucket using welded-on U-brackets
  • No bucket removal needed — curl the bucket to pick up/set down; switch between bucket and fork mode in seconds from the cab
  • 10 models covering 1,500 to 28,000 lbs capacity with 48", 60", and 72" tine lengths
  • Fully forged steel tines
  • Matched to bucket opening — select based on your bucket width
  • Made to order | Made in USA | 1-year warranty

🔑 Benefits

  • Adds fork capability to any bucket-equipped loader without buying a separate machine or skid steer adapter — tractor loaders and wheel loaders dominate many farm and construction environments, yet most of the skid steer quick-attach attachment market is closed to them. Hook Over Bucket Forks bridge that gap by using what's already on the machine.
  • Cab-operated attachment and detachment eliminates the time and labor of manual quick-attach changes — the operator curls the bucket; the forks either pick up or release. There is no leaving the cab, no locking mechanism, and no safety pin pull. This is meaningfully faster than removing and reinstalling a skid steer attachment on most tractor setups.
  • Range from 1,500 to 28,000 lbs covers both compact tractor and large wheel loader applications — the H45-48 through H80 series covers compact and mid-size tractors; the H100 through H280 series handles the large wheel loader segment where purpose-built wheel loader forks are the alternative.
  • Forged steel tines outlast fabricated tine alternatives — forged tines have higher yield strength and fatigue resistance than cut-and-welded tines of the same nominal dimension, which matters for high-cycle agricultural and construction applications.

🔗 Attachment Compatibility

HOB Forks require one-time bracket welding to the top of your bucket. Match the bucket opening column in the spec table to your loader bucket opening. The back height determines clearance above the bucket when the forks are in use. Made to order — contact Haugen at 877-580-6218 with your bucket dimensions before ordering to confirm correct model selection.

🚜 Machine Compatibility

Hook Over Bucket Forks attach to the bucket of any tractor loader, tractor loader backhoe, or wheel loader. Brackets must be welded to the top of your bucket before first use. Each model is specified to match your bucket opening dimension:

John Deere Kubota Case New Holland
Mahindra Yanmar

These forks do NOT use a quick-attach system. They rely on brackets welded to the top of the bucket. Match the bucket opening to the correct H-series model before ordering. Made to order — contact Haugen to confirm fitment for your specific tractor and bucket.

❓ FAQs

Q: How are the brackets installed?

The HOB Forks include 3 or 4 U-shaped steel brackets that must be welded to the top of your loader bucket. This is a one-time installation performed by a welder. Once the brackets are welded, the forks can be attached and detached from the cab in seconds by curling the bucket. The bracket installation does not affect normal bucket function when the forks are removed.

Q: Can I still use my bucket normally after installing the brackets?

Yes — when the forks are removed, the welded brackets are flush or near-flush with the bucket top and do not interfere with normal bucket digging, grading, or material handling operations. The brackets are welded on the outside top face and are designed to be non-intrusive during non-fork use.

Q: How do I choose the right model for my tractor?

Match the Bucket Opening column to your bucket's actual top opening measurement (the distance across the top of the bucket where the forks would hook). If your bucket opening is 42", use a model rated "up to 42"" or larger. Also check that your bucket's back height clearance is compatible with the model's Back Height spec. Contact Haugen at 877-580-6218 with your bucket width, opening, and tractor make/model for a specific recommendation.

Q: Are these forks only for tractor front-end loaders?

Yes — Hook Over Bucket Forks are designed for tractor loaders, tractor loader backhoes, and wheel loaders that use a traditional bucket attachment (not a skid steer quick-attach system). They do not work with skid steer or quick-attach bucket designs. If your machine uses a QA system, see Haugen's standard skid steer pallet fork line instead.

Q: Are these made to order?

Yes — Hook Over Bucket Forks from Haugen are made to order. Lead time varies; contact Haugen for current availability and production time before ordering.
