Description
The Haugen carriage-mounted carpet pole attachment (MCP) bolts directly to the forklift or telehandler carriage plate rather than sliding onto fork tines. Class 2 or Class 3 carriage mounts, in 2.50" or 3.00" pole diameters and lengths from 6 to 12 feet.
Poles are replaceable and held by set screws, with bolt-on replaceable clips and heavy duty back plates. Stress relieved with rounded tips.

Haugen builds carpet poles both ways, and the choice is about how the machine is used.
If the forklift spends its day moving carpet, the carriage mount is the better connection. If it moves pallets too, the fork slot version saves taking the forks off.
Pole tip is the load at the very end. Half pole is at the midpoint. Total capacity is the load spread along the pole — which is how a roll actually sits, and the lowest number by a wide margin. A 12' 2.50" pole is 700 lbs at the tip but 110 lbs distributed.
Match the figure to your load, and note that capacity is identical between Class 2 and Class 3 at the same diameter and length — the carriage class changes the mount, not the pole rating.
Poles are held by set screws and replace individually, and the clips are bolt-on rather than welded. A bent pole is a part swap rather than a new attachment — worth knowing on a tool whose failure mode is exactly that.
Mounts directly to a Class 2 or Class 3 forklift or telehandler carriage. The mount is class specific and the two are not interchangeable, so confirm your carriage class first.
Capacity does not change with carriage class. Choose the class by your machine, then the pole by your load.
It bolts to the carriage plate instead of sliding onto tines, so no fork tines are required and the load path is direct. That suits a machine dedicated to roll handling; a fork slot pole suits one that also moves pallets.
Whichever your carriage is — the mount is class specific. Capacity is the same either way at a given pole diameter and length, so the class does not affect what you can lift.
A 6' pole takes 1,500 lbs at the tip in 2.50" and 2,600 lbs in 3.00". Diameter buys more capacity than any other change, so heavy rolls point to the 3".
Pole tip is load at the end, half pole is load at the midpoint, and total capacity is load distributed along the pole. Distributed is much lower — 110 lbs on a 12' 2.50" pole against 700 lbs at the tip.
Yes. Poles are held by set screws and swap individually, and the clips bolt on rather than being welded, so damage is a part replacement.
Up to 12 feet in both diameters. Longer poles carry proportionally less, so take the shortest length that supports the roll properly.
Yes. Poles are held by set screws and replace individually, and the clips are bolt-on rather than welded, so a bent pole is a part swap rather than a new attachment.
