Need a simple, reliable way to add one auxiliary function to your skid steer? This single-button switch kit is built for operators who want to run one solenoid-controlled attachment without installing a full control package. Add power, route the extension harness along your boom, and plug into a standard 2-pin solenoid connector at the attachment.
The included industrial-grade switch uses gold contacts rated for up to 1,000,000 cycles and is protected inside a hermetically sealed silicone boot to help resist water, dirt, and oil—ideal for harsh jobsite conditions.
Included in this kit:
Power & install notes: Depending on your machine, you may need additional accessories to connect power safely. You can connect to the battery or an open fuse position inside the cab. A keyed (switched) power source is recommended so the circuit isn’t live when the machine is off.
General installation overview: Every machine and customer setup is different, so these are general guidelines. Mount the switch on your left joystick using the supplied zip ties. Route the feed harness to a power source (for example, a cigarette lighter plug or a fused keyed circuit). Use proper splices or adapter plugs, and protect all connections to prevent shorts and blown fuses.
Next, connect the extension harness and route it along the boom, following hydraulic lines out to the coupler area. Keep wiring tucked in and secured with zip ties so it can’t snag or pull loose. Your attachment should have a compatible 2-pin connection so you can plug in quickly when needed. Test operation by pressing the button and listening for the solenoid “click,” or confirm output using a test light.
It adds one switch to your machine so you can operate a single solenoid on a solenoid-operated attachment.
It is an industrial-grade switch with gold contacts rated for 1 million cycles and sealed inside a silicone boot to help protect from water, dirt, and oil.
It includes a switch kit with zip ties for mounting on your stick and a 20-foot cable extension with zip ties to secure the cable.
You’ll need to connect to a power source such as the battery or an open fuse position in the cab. A keyed power source is recommended so the circuit is not left on when the machine is off.
The harness is intended to be installed on the left stick using the supplied zip ties.
The extension harness is routed down from the cab and out along the boom, typically following hydraulic lines to the coupler area, and secured with zip ties so it won’t snag or come loose.
The attachment should have a similar 2-pin connection installed so it can plug into the switch extension when in use.
Press the button and listen for the solenoid click, or verify operation with a test light.
Installation varies by customer and machine, so the specific power hookup and routing details depend on your setup.
