• Off-ground storage prevents the accelerated corrosion that shortens fork service life — forklift forks stored on concrete floors accumulate ground moisture on the blade surface, accelerating oxidation on the heel and blade underside. Rust on the fork blade surface creates stress risers that can initiate fatigue cracking under repeated load cycles. Rack storage keeps all fork surfaces exposed to air, dramatically slowing rust formation.
• Organized storage allows correct fork selection without sorting through a pile — unsorted fork storage requires moving and examining individual forks to identify size, class, and condition.
