Description

Important: ordering for this harness has changed.

Please don’t skip this—if you check out without selecting the correct end connectors, you’ll receive the Delphi-ended version by default. Choose Deutsch or DIN first if that’s what your attachment requires.

To make ordering simple, this harness is now offered in three clear versions. Every version includes a 9 ft main cable and a Deutsch 14-pin machine-side plug built around the common Bobcat-style pin arrangement used by Case, Gehl, Kubota*, JCB/Volvo, Mustang, Takeuchi, New Holland, John Deere, Yanmar, Cat (2014+), and Wacker—and it’s also a solid fit for many Erskine and Quick Attach branded attachments.

What stays the same: the 14-pin connector includes a spare ground jumper inside the plug so you can populate an additional ground position when needed (for example, Cat D-series high-flow setups or older Bobcat pump-control configurations). What changes: the six solenoid-end connectors, because Bobcat/Erskine/Quick Attach (and many imported attachments) don’t all use the same style.

Version #1 - SG-BPH-14-6-9DP (Delphi ends): Typically identified by a short jumper lead at the solenoid and a mating connector that often shows a blue cap. Use the product photos to confirm.

Version #2 - SG-BPH-14-6-9DT (Deutsch ends): Common on molded solenoid connectors with a squared profile. Plugs are usually black/gray with an orange or green wedge/lock. Confirm with photos.

Version #3 - SG-BPH-14-6-9DN (DIN ends): Recognizable by the box-style DIN plug housing at each solenoid lead. Confirm with photos.

7-Pin Bypass Harness (6 outputs) for Bobcat®, Erskine, and Quick Attach attachments

Use this to run Bobcat®/Erskine/Quick Attach 7-pin-style attachments from a 14-pin machine harness on brands like Case, Gehl, Kubota*, JCB/Volvo, Mustang, Takeuchi, New Holland, John Deere, Yanmar, Cat (2014+), and Wacker.

This is the harness you’ve likely seen discussed online. Originally, we built these for customers who accidentally ended up with Bobcat®-only attachments and then discovered they wouldn’t plug into their Caterpillar, John Deere, JCB, Case, or other machines. Some owners also had Quick Attach/Erskine attachments that came with control boxes (or no usable control wiring at all). This bypass harness is our practical way to get those attachments working the way most of the industry already does.

From our point of view, the 7-pin approach on many branded attachments feels less like “helpful tech” and more like a barrier that keeps attachments locked to one machine family. We built a test harness, worked with a customer to validate real-world use, documented the results, and then demand exploded once those results hit forums. That’s why we keep a growing fitment/notes database and back every purchase with support until your setup is running correctly.

This harness ships pre-assembled in the standard/common Bobcat-style 14-pin layout (works for many Case/Kubota/New Holland/Gehl/Yanmar/Mustang scenarios). If you run a Cat D-series or certain John Deere configurations, you’ll do a simple pin move as outlined below.

Cat D-Series: Move Pin G → Pin A and Pin H → Pin J. That’s the full change.

John Deere: Move Pin B → Pin A. Many owners prefer wiring the machine to the common layout so attachments don’t need to be repinned repeatedly. Since 2020, a ground jumper is tucked inside the 14-pin plug—open the connector, remove the shrink as needed, and seat the spare ground socket into Position A. You’ll then have ground at A & B, which is fine for most uses (Cat D-series is the exception).

Every kit includes a wiring diagram and clear install guidance. Pins are factory-crimped, and we include a basic pin tool so you can make the required moves without frustration.

We’ve shipped a large number of these harnesses, and that volume has allowed us to build detailed notes on what works, where, and why. Also worth mentioning: some competing “look-alike” harnesses exist, but without the application knowledge and troubleshooting support behind them. We do provide that support.

How does it work?
Many Bobcat® branded 7-pin attachments place an electronic module on the attachment itself. For a lot of common attachments, that extra layer isn’t necessary. Our bypass harness skips that module and runs the machine’s signals straight to the attachment solenoids—bringing the attachment back to a simpler, standard-style wiring approach. The machine-side end plugs into your 14-pin harness, and the solenoid-side leads connect directly to the valves.

One limitation to understand: your loader must have enough available outputs to run the attachment’s functions. Example: certain Kubota SVL75/SVL90/SVL95 machines (2016 and earlier) are limited in how many circuits they provide, which can be fine for brooms but restrictive for more complex tools. Kubota later added button control options; if you want an easier add-control solution, take a look at the Genius Super Controllers.

Bobcat® Cold Planers: Some planers include seven solenoids (six for control plus one for diverting flow). If your planer uses seven solenoids, you’ll want the specific planer harness instead: click here. If your planer does not use the 7-solenoid layout, this harness may be suitable.

This harness is built to drive up to six solenoids. On many Bobcat® attachments, six solenoids does not always equal six distinct functions (some functions use paired solenoids). If you’re unsure, check your valve/solenoid count before ordering or contact us and we’ll help you confirm.

Trademark & disclaimer: The “Bobcat®” name, trademark, and logos are the property of Bobcat Company.

This is not a Bobcat® product, and we are not affiliated with or endorsed by Bobcat. Our harness is designed as an independent, external bypass solution. It does not alter your machine’s internal systems and will not harm the loader or attachment controls when installed as directed. The harness simply routes control signals directly to the solenoids, reducing complexity and, in many cases, improving reliability by eliminating unnecessary components.  Fewer parts typically means fewer failure points and less downtime.

We developed this bypass harness to help equipment owners use attachments more flexibly across machine brands, using a direct-to-solenoid wiring approach that reduces complexity where an attachment-mounted computer is unnecessary.

What is this harness designed to do?

This harness is built to bypass the attachment’s onboard control module and route your machine’s auxiliary outputs directly to the attachment solenoids, helping certain Bobcat-style setups operate like a standard multi-output attachment connection.

How many versions are available, and what’s the difference?

There are three versions, based on the six connectors on the solenoid end: one with Delphi-style connectors, one with Deutsch-style connectors, and one with DIN-style connectors. The machine-side 14-pin connection and cable length remain the same conceptually, but the solenoid-end connector type must match your attachment.

How do I choose the correct solenoid connector type?

Choose the version that matches what’s already on your attachment solenoids: Delphi (typically uses a separate jumper and matching plug), Deutsch (often a molded, square-looking connector), or DIN (a box-style connector commonly seen on many imported attachments). Matching the connector type is critical to avoid rework.

Which machines and attachments is this harness commonly intended for?

It’s commonly used when you have a machine with a standard multi-pin auxiliary connection and an attachment setup that otherwise would be limited by a brand-specific harness or intermediate control hardware. It’s often chosen to help certain attachment wiring behave more universally across brands.

Does it work on Caterpillar D-series machines?

Some Caterpillar D-series configurations may require pin-position changes for correct operation. If your machine is wired differently than the harness default, you’ll need to repin specific circuits to match the machine’s layout.

Does it work on John Deere machines?

Some John Deere configurations may need a pin-position change for ground reference so the harness matches the machine’s expected layout. If your Deere is wired differently, repinning may be required for full compatibility.

How many solenoids can this harness control?

This harness is intended to support up to 6 solenoids. Keep in mind that some attachments use multiple solenoids for a single function, so “6 solenoids” does not always equal “6 independent functions.”

Will this work for cold planer-style attachments?

It depends on the attachment’s solenoid count and how it diverts hydraulic flow. If the attachment uses more than the supported solenoid outputs (for example, an additional solenoid dedicated to diverting flow), a different wiring approach may be required.

Will it work if my machine doesn’t have enough auxiliary outputs?

If your machine only provides a limited number of auxiliary outputs, you may not be able to operate every function on complex attachments. In that case, the harness may still run basic functions but not every feature.

Is this a “plug-and-play” solution in every case?

Not always. While it can be straightforward in many setups, some machines require repinning to match their factory wiring layout. The correct version selection (Delphi/Deutsch/DIN) also matters for true plug-in compatibility.

Does this harness affect my machine’s electronics or warranty?

This harness is designed to route control signals to attachment solenoids without interfacing with machine control electronics beyond normal auxiliary outputs. As with any aftermarket electrical part, follow proper installation practices and confirm fitment for your specific machine and attachment.

What if I need to change pins or reconfigure the connector?

If your machine requires a different pin layout, the solution is typically to move specific pins/sockets to match the machine’s expected positions. Use the proper technique and tools to avoid damaging the connector or terminals.
