• Six size options allow load matching to crane capacity and debris volume — the 1446B (5,000 lb rated) is appropriate for lighter crane picks and partial debris loads. The 1451B (13,000 lb rated) maximizes haul volume per crane cycle on high-capacity crane operations. Selecting the correct size prevents under-utilizing the crane on small loads or exceeding crane capacity on large-skip fills.
• Sloped-end self-dump eliminates manual unloading at grade — releasing the two forward slings while keeping the rear slings connected causes the skip to tip forward, dumping the load from the sloped end into the receiving container. This allows one crane operator to complete the full cycle (hoist → transport → dump → return) without any ground crew intervention at the dump point.
• 3/16" steel with 1/4" angle reinforcement handles concrete and masonry debris that destroys lighter skips — light-gauge crane skips (10-gauge = 0.135" steel) fail at the corners and welds under repeated impact from heavy concrete chunks, masonry blocks, and steel debris. The Star skip's 3/16" (0.1875") body and 1/4" angle corner reinforcement are specifically designed for demolition debris that terminates lighter equipment.
