• Telehandler reach allows bale handling at heights and distances impossible for a skid steer — telehandlers can reach 20-40+ feet at full extension, allowing bale stacking in barn lofts, on top of semi flatbeds, and in elevated storage structures that are completely out of reach for skid steer-mounted bale spears. The MTBS series is purpose-built for these elevated bale operations.
• MTBS-SQ and MTBS-SQH cover two stack height profiles — at 36" tall, the MTBS-SQ is suited for standard-height bale stacks where top-bale containment is not a concern. At 60" tall, the MTBS-SQH is designed for high-speed bale handling on large operations where 3-5 high stacks are routine and bale rolloff risk must be prevented.
• MTBS-R single-main-tine configuration with stabilizers handles round bales more reliably than multi-tine spears — round bales have a different penetration geometry than square bales. A single 49" main spear penetrates the center of the round bale from the end, with two 24" stabilizer tines providing anti-roll support. This is the same configuration used on most purpose-built round bale handlers and provides more stable bale control than a multi-tine rectangular frame on a round bale.
• Built-to-order for any telehandler carriage eliminates adapter plate compromises — rather than using a skid steer adapter to run SSQA bale spears on a telehandler, the MTBS series is built directly for the specific telehandler carriage. This maximizes structural strength and eliminates the ROC and weight penalties of a separate adapter plate.
