    📘 Overview

The ANBO UTSC-10 is a compact tractor root grapple built for compact tractors and other machines under 30 horsepower, supplied in 4 widths from 43" to 76" on 10-inch tine spacing. 10-inch spacing is the wide spacing in the sub-compact range in this series — it lets soil and fines fall away so loads travel clean, which makes the UTSC-10 the choice for brush, branch and light log work around a property. It is sized so a machine under 30 horsepower keeps its lift capacity: flat tines with a rake bar on 3/8" steel, and the whole unit is light enough not to eat the loader's rating. The choice you make on this listing is width — 43", 54", 65", 76" — and it drives attachment weight from 184 lb up to 306 lb, so pick the widest unit your loader can still lift full. Every ANBO grapple is built in Colville, Washington from American AR400F steel, ships with a mount fabricated for your own machine plus hoses and couplers, and carries a two-year attachment warranty with three years on the cylinders.

    ⚙ UTSC-10 Key Features

    • Rated to 30 horsepower — ANBO sizes each model to the machine, so the UTSC-10 is matched to loaders and tractors up to 30 hp rather than sold by width alone.
    • 10-inch tine spacing — lets soil and fines fall away so loads travel clean.
    • 3/8" : 3/8" AR400F tines — outer to inner tine thickness on the UTSC-10, in steel with a 150,000–180,000 PSI yield strength against 32,000 PSI for A36.
    • 30" grapple opening — the jaw span of the UTSC-10 when the clamshell is open.
    • 1.5"x 4" hydraulic cylinders — fully welded, rear mounted and rated to 3,000 PSI, with a built-in pressure relief valve on the larger units to protect the machine's hydraulics.
    • Clamshell design with a top grapple — the top bar closes over raked material, so the unit rakes, digs, grips and back-rakes without an attachment change.
    • Greaseable, accessible pivot points — every pivot takes grease and can be reached without dismantling the rake.
    • 2-wire R-16 hoses rated to 5,800 PSI — routed securely, with hose wrap offered to protect the supply lines.
    • Two-piece mount, engineered position — most ANBO mounts are two-piece, keeping the centre of the rake open for visibility; mount location and angle are set to work on both tractors and skid steers.
    • Flat tines with a rake bar — the flat profile cleans and clears surface areas, and the rake bar reduces the chance of bending or breaking a tine.
    • Made in the USA from American steel — designed, fabricated and assembled in Colville, Washington.

🔑 Why Buyers Choose the UTSC-10

    • An 184 lb attachment on a 30 hp machine leaves lift capacity for the load — AR400F is five times stronger than grade 36, so ANBO reaches the required strength without the extra plate thickness that a mild-steel grapple needs. The 43" UTSC-10 weighs 184 lb; the weight you do not spend on the attachment is weight you can still pick up.
    • 10-inch spacing decides what stays in the load — on the UTSC-10 it lets soil and fines fall away so loads travel clean, which is why this spacing is the one to pick for brush, branch and light log work around a property.
    • The top grapple lets you back-rake and carry in the same pass — material raked up is clamped and moved without swapping to a bucket, which removes a machine trip per pile.
    • Greaseable pivots instead of sealed or welded ones — the wear points on the UTSC-10 can be serviced on schedule, which is what decides whether a grapple lasts a season or a decade.
    • Three years on the cylinders, one more than on the attachment — ANBO warrants the highest-wear hydraulic component for longer than it warrants the frame.

    🔄 UTSC-10 Specifications by Width

The UTSC-10 spans 43" to 76" and 184 lb to 306 lb across 4 part numbers. Every one shares the same 10" tine spacing, the same 30" opening and the same 1.5"x 4" cylinders.

Part number Width Attachment weight Cylinders
    UTSC-10-43 43" 184 lb 1.5"x 4"
    UTSC-10-54 54" 226 lb 1.5"x 4"
    UTSC-10-65 65" 266 lb 1.5"x 4"
    UTSC-10-76 76" 306 lb 1.5"x 4"

    📋 Choosing Your UTSC-10 Width

This listing covers the UTSC-10 — tine spacing is fixed at 10" Tines across every part number on the page. The width option is the selection you make at checkout:

    • 43" — part number UTSC-10-43, 184 lb attachment weight
    • 54" — part number UTSC-10-54, 226 lb attachment weight
    • 65" — part number UTSC-10-65, 266 lb attachment weight
    • 76" — part number UTSC-10-76, 306 lb attachment weight

A wider UTSC-10 covers more ground per pass but adds 122 lb between the narrowest and widest unit. Match the width to what your loader can lift full, not to the widest unit offered.

🔗 What Is the ANBO UTSC-10 Used For?

ANBO builds the Utility Sub-Compact line for brush, branch and light log work around a property. On the UTSC-10 specifically, the jobs it is bought for are:

    • Gathering and clearing brush around the property
    • Cleaning and levelling surface areas with the flat tines
    • Sorting small rocks
    • Raking and piling hay
    • Daily property maintenance on a compact tractor

The UTSC-10 ships complete and ready to run — the grapple, the mount built for your machine, hoses and couplers.

Buyers shop this class of attachment under several names. Tractor root rake and grapple rake for skid steer both describe what the UTSC-10 is — a clamshell rake that grips. If your search started with root grapple attachment, skid steer rock rake or root rake grapple, the UTSC-10 is the 30-horsepower unit in that family.

🚜 Which Machines Fit the ANBO UTSC-10?

The ANBO UTSC-10 is built to order with a mount made for your specific machine. It is not a fixed-interface attachment: ANBO fabricates the mount to the loader, tractor or skid steer you name when you order, so fitment is confirmed at build time rather than assumed from a standard.

    Fitment factor ANBO UTSC-10
Machine horsepower Up to 30 hp — this is the primary fitment limit on the UTSC-10
Machine types Compact tractors and other machines under 30 horsepower
Grapple opening 30" — the largest single piece the UTSC-10 will close on
Mount Custom-built to your machine. Universal skid steer quick attach and John Deere are the common options; ANBO builds most other mounts as well
Mount construction Two-piece on most units, which keeps the centre of the rake open for visibility. Build-backs reduce lift capacity and are only used where a machine requires one
Hydraulics required One double-acting auxiliary hydraulic circuit to open and close the grapple. Cylinders are rated to 3,000 PSI
Supplied with Mount, hoses and couplers

Horsepower is the deciding number, not width: ANBO names each model for the machine size it is built for, and running a 30-hp-rated grapple behind a bigger machine is what bends attachments. Have your machine make, model and horsepower ready and call eskidsteer.com at (866) 757-8337 to confirm the mount before ordering.

    ❓ ANBO UTSC-10 Questions, Answered

What size machine does the ANBO UTSC-10 fit?

The ANBO UTSC-10 is rated for compact tractors and other machines under 30 horsepower. ANBO names each model for the machine size it is built for, so a 30-hp rating is a ceiling rather than a suggestion: putting a larger machine behind the UTSC-10 is the most common way a grapple gets bent.

Which width of the UTSC-10 should I order?

The UTSC-10 comes in 4 widths from 43" to 76". Attachment weight runs from 184 lb at 43" to 306 lb at 76", so the limit is what your loader can still lift once the grapple is full. A wider unit clears more ground per pass; a narrower one leaves more of your rated capacity for the load.

Why does the UTSC-10 use 10-inch tine spacing?

10-inch spacing is the wide spacing in the sub-compact range. On the UTSC-10 it lets soil and fines fall away so loads travel clean. That is what makes this the right unit for brush, branch and light log work around a property — spacing decides what stays in the load and what falls back on the ground.

What hydraulics does the ANBO UTSC-10 need?

The UTSC-10 needs one double-acting auxiliary hydraulic circuit to open and close the clamshell. The cylinders are fully welded, rear mounted and rated to 3,000 PSI, and the hoses are 2-wire R-16 rated to 5,800 PSI. The larger ANBO units include a built-in pressure relief valve to protect your machine's hydraulic system.

Does the UTSC-10 come with a mount for my machine?

Yes. ANBO builds the mount for the specific machine you name at order time and the UTSC-10 ships complete with mount, hoses and couplers. Most ANBO mounts are two-piece, which keeps the centre of the rake open so you can see the load. Have your machine make, model and horsepower ready and call eskidsteer.com at (866) 757-8337 before ordering.

What is AR400F steel, and why does ANBO use it?

AR400F is an abrasion-resistant alloy with a yield strength of 150,000–180,000 PSI against 32,000 PSI for A36 mild steel — roughly five times stronger. The F is for formability: it is less brittle than standard AR400, so it bends rather than cracking under shock load. Because the steel is stronger, the UTSC-10 does not need the extra plate thickness a mild-steel grapple uses, and the weight saved stays available as lift capacity.

What warranty comes with the ANBO UTSC-10?

ANBO provides a two-year manufacturer defect warranty on the attachment from the date of delivery to the original purchaser, and three years on the cylinders. The warranty does not cover use beyond rated capacity, misuse, unauthorised modification, or normal wear on ground-engaging tines. For a warranty question on a UTSC-10 bought from us, call eskidsteer.com at (866) 757-8337.

What servicing does the UTSC-10 need?

Grease every pivot point on schedule — ANBO makes all pivots greaseable and accessible on the UTSC-10 so this can be done without dismantling the rake. Check the hose routing and the hose wrap for abrasion, and inspect the tines for wear. Tines are ground-engaging parts and wear is not a warranty item.

Should I get the 10" UTSC or a wider tine spacing?

eskidsteer.com stocks the UTSC in 10" as well as 5". The 10" UTSC-10 lets soil and fines fall away so loads travel clean. A wider spacing sheds more soil and fines, which is what you want when you are moving timber and brush rather than picking rock. Spacing does not change the machine rating — every UTSC is built for machines up to 30 horsepower.

How are the UTSC-10 flat tines different from a rounded-tine grapple rake?

The UTSC-10 uses flat tines rather than the rounded tines on ANBO's GR-series rakes. Flat tines clean and clear surface areas — raking hay, levelling and sweeping a yard — where rounded tines are built to dig in and grub roots. A rake bar across the UTSC-10 reduces the chance of bending or breaking a tine.

Will the UTSC-10 work on a mini skid steer or compact utility loader?

Yes — the UTSC-10 is built for the sub-compact class, machines under 30 horsepower, which includes mini skid steers and compact utility loaders as well as sub-compact and compact tractors. At 184–306 lb it is light enough that the machine keeps usable lift capacity for the load. The mount is built for your specific machine.

How big a piece can the UTSC-10 pick up?

The UTSC-10 has a 30" grapple opening, which is the largest single piece the clamshell will close on. Anything larger has to be cut or handled in the rake rather than gripped.

Is tractor root rake the same thing as the UTSC-10 grapple rake?

Tractor root rake and grapple rake for skid steer are two names for the class of attachment the UTSC-10 belongs to — a loader-mounted clamshell that rakes and grips. ANBO calls the UTSC-10 a grapple rake because the lower tines rake and dig while the top grapple closes over the load. If your search started with root grapple attachment or skid steer rock rake, the UTSC-10 is the 30-horsepower unit in that family.
