📘 Overview
The Haugen fork mounted spreader bar for lifting (MASPR) is an adjustable lifting spreader bar that slips onto your fork tines and turns a telehandler or forklift into a two-point lifting rig. Three length ranges: 8–12 ft, 10–15 ft and 13–20 ft. Rated 10,000 lbs on a single centre point, with published capacities at each spread position.
Supplied with two 5-ton swivel hooks and two 5-ton shackles; a third hook is optional. The MASPRX versions add top hooks and shackles for crane use. Engineer certified to ANSI/ITSDF B56.6 and CSA B335.

📉 Capacity Falls as the Hooks Move Out
Every model lifts 10,000 lbs on a single centre point. Move the hooks apart and the rating drops, because the bar is working in bending rather than straight tension. The full chart for the 10–15 ft model:

Every bar ships with its own load chart. Read the position you are actually set to before every lift — the difference between the closest and widest spread is 40% of capacity on this model, and more on the 13–20 ft.
⚠ Rigging Rules That Are Not Optional
Haugen's manual is explicit about how the load attaches, and getting it wrong is how a spreader bar fails:
- Never use only one of the side hooks. The load goes to the centre alone, to both outside hooks, or to all three.
- Never side load the spreader bar. It is rated for vertical lifting through the hook positions, not for pulling sideways.
- One hook can be moved to the centre position if you are lifting a single point.
- Nobody rides the bar or the load, and the operator keeps a ten foot radius clear underneath.
Before every use, check the retaining pins are secured and undeformed, the hooks, shackles and latches are functional with screw pins tight, and the load capacity chart sticker is present and legible.
🏗 MASPR or MASPRX?
The MASPRX adds two shackles on a top plate, so the bar can be picked by a crane as well as carried on forks. It weighs 120 to 140 lbs more. If the bar only ever works on a machine, the standard MASPR is lighter and cheaper; if it also gets craned, the X version saves rigging a separate sling.
🚜 Forklift and Telehandler Compatibility
Slips onto fork tines up to 3.50" thick by 7.50" wide, held at 24" on centre and secured with a pin chained to the bar. Fits telehandlers, straight mast forklifts and industrial lift trucks.
Empty weights run 580 to 995 lbs. Because the bar is held at 24" on centre — the standard forklift load centre — your machine's existing load chart normally applies, less the weight of the bar, the rigging and the load.

How much can it lift?
10,000 lbs on a single centre point on every model. Spread the hooks and capacity falls — on the 10–15 ft model, 10,000 lbs at 89" spread down to 6,000 lbs at 180". Every bar comes with its own load chart; read the position you are set to.
Can I lift from just one side hook?
No. Haugen specifies the load must go to the centre alone, to both outside hooks, or to all three. A single side hook side-loads the bar, which it is not rated for.
What is the difference between MASPR and MASPRX?
The X models add two shackles on a top plate so the bar can be lifted by a crane as well as carried on forks. They weigh 120 to 140 lbs more.
Which length range do I need?
Match it to the load. Bear in mind the widest position on the 13–20 ft model is rated 2,250 lbs per hook against 3,000 on the shorter bars — longer reach costs capacity.
Do I need a down-rated load chart?
Normally not. The bar is held at 24" on centre, the standard load centre your machine is rated at, so the existing chart applies less the bar, rigging and load weights.
What hooks come with it?
Two 5-ton swivel hooks and two 5-ton shackles as standard. A third swivel hook is optional, and one hook can be moved to the centre for single-point lifts.
What should I inspect before every lift?
Check that all safety retaining pins are secured and free of deformation, that the hooks, shackles and latches work and their screw pins are tight, and that there are no cracked welds or elongated holes. Confirm the load capacity chart sticker is present and clearly marked.

Returns
Returns
We offer returns and exchanges in limited circumstances as follows:
- In order to submit a return, you must contact us by email at support@eSkidsteer.com for us to confirm the items ordered are eligible for return or exchange;
- To be eligible for a return, you must commence the return process within 30 days of your item being delivered to you and:
- it must be unused, for example, once an item is hooked up to an attachment plate, hydraulic lines or electrical connection, it will not be eligible for return. Likewise, if your item shows any sign of use, which we may determine in our sole and absolute discretion, we will not accept the return;
- it must be in the same condition you received it in. You will be required to send us timestamped photos of the condition of your items as a condition to determine your eligibility for the return or exchange; and
- it must be returned in the same packaging or containers as it was received in.
We do not accept returns for products that were listed as final sale items at the time of purchase.
You agree to pay a 25% restocking fee on all returns, which we will deduct from any refund owing to you.
After the above referenced 30-day period, unfortunately we cannot offer you a refund or exchange, under any circumstances.
If your return or exchange is approved, we will provide instructions on shipping your items back to us or the applicable supplier via email.
You agree that you shall be responsible for all return shipping costs and related expenses.

Lost or Damaged
If the item is damaged when you receive it, do not sign the proof of delivery, and contact us immediately at support@eSkidsteer.com. If you sign the proof of delivery form, you cannot later claim the item was lost (i.e. not delivered) or damaged on arrival.
If the item is damaged on arrival take photos of the damage with a time stamp.
In the event the item is lost or damaged on arrival, we will assist you with filing a reimbursement claim directly with the applicable supplier or shipping company as applicable. However, you agree that as we are not the direct supplier of the items, it shall be your responsibility to pursue any claims with the applicable supplier in the event your lost or damaged item is not replaced by the supplier or carrier.
