Ensure your Genius Canbus Controllers are properly operated with this Deutsch-style surge Suppressor. Designed to plug inline into your existing wiring, this suppressor prevents high-voltage surges caused by aftermarket solenoid controls that lack built-in surge suppression. Failure to install this device may result in permanent controller damage. The suppressor is polarity-dependent, requiring the red wire to connect to the +12V signal and the black wire to ground.

Genius suppressors are only required if your coils look like this.

There may be several connectors, but the central solenoid is about as large as your fist and will have some cap. We have been unable to identify a manufacturer or part number from the ones we have examined; we can only go by their general appearance.

If your solenoids look like this, you are fine and do not need a suppressor.

You must ensure you purchase a suppressor for each solenoid that requires one. Failure to do so will cause the controller to fail immediately, which is NOT covered under warranty.
