However, it is essential for customers to measure and order the correct length of studs to match their tire's tread depth. This ensures that the studs remain securely in place and do not damage the tires.

Correct Installation Guidelines:

• Use a low-torque driver at a moderate speed.
• Screw the stud in until the washer on the underside contacts the rubber. Avoid turning more than half a turn past this point.

Roadmaster Studs are available in 30mm or 1" length, making them suitable for skid steer or compact loader installations. This choice is critical due to the potential tearing action produced by these machines during turns. Ensuring the studs are of the correct length is the customer's responsibility to prevent them from pulling out.

Basic Installation Rules:

• Always use a stud length that matches the tire's tread depth. For instance, an 18mm stud should be used with a 17mm tread depth, leaving 3mm of the stud raised above the tire surface.
• Count the number of contact patches on the tire and create a fitting strategy for the studs. We stock only 30mm studs, known for their heavy-duty performance and extended carbide tip life. It's essential to verify that this length suits your specific application.

Roadmaster Tire Studs provide excellent traction and can break through snow and ice, but they may scratch the base surface. It's crucial to use them cautiously on surfaces where you want to avoid marks. Roadmaster Studs are not intended for skidding on surfaces where marking is a concern.
